Like the world 🌿

Three photographers, three ways of seeing nature — on view now at Nightingale Gallery at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande.

Sadie Wechsler, Sarah Meadows, and Teresa Christiansen wrestle with their relationship to the natural world through overlapping and divergent photographic interpretations: nature sprouting through cracks, emerging from beneath plastic, at the edge of a pavement. Evading the documentary, the works are deconstructed and at times subsumed into wax, gold leaf, and ceramic structures.

On view through November 6.

Many stages of work for my show this October with @sadiewechsler and @teresachristi at @nightingale_gallery. It was a summer of tiny scraps and pieces and mess. “Like the world” opens 10/9 at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande! by @smeadowsmeadows

I dreamt that there was a fox in my backyard, and I was scrambling to take its picture with an old, low-res digi cam. The image kept blurring and pixelating; it wouldn’t be still. The camera felt like it was vibrating in my hands. by @smeadowsmeadows

More from the rose show @portlandrosesociety. I’m so sad that Lloyd Center mall is closing after 60+ years! @save_lloyd is tracking events and news- let’s go to the mall before August 8th.
Also, if anyone needs a flower/garden photographer let me know 🥀 by @smeadowsmeadows
