Meet my friend Chet - he’s 86 yrs old, and his dog Trajan has cancer. Chet is also a veteran

This is my work in progress doc about them.

Chet adopted Trajan earlier this year from North Central, but in this short span of time the pup was found to have a tumor in his bladder.

Chet and his son have spent all their savings on stent surgery for Trajan, but can’t afford radiation, which he needs desperately.

This is more than just fundraising for medical; this will probably be the last dog Chet ever has.

Please consider donating to their GoFundMe to give them a little more time together. Thank you.

For Your Grammys® Consideration

Best Music Film - Louder Than Guns

Artist - Old Crow Medicine Show

Louder Than Guns begins with tragedy — and becomes a story about how listening, empathy, and song can rise above the noise.

Around tables and in circles across America, people who see the world differently — survivors, gun owners, police officers, parents — come together to talk, to listen, and to look for something better.

In their conversations, we discover that voices —drawn together by the common language of music and grounded in respect — can be louder than guns.

Phew! What a week! Thank you so much for all your donations and sharing - we’re at $2500 - 1/3 of the way to the first goal for radiation. We’ve also spent the week being vetted by @gofundme - we are legit as can be, and even have an accounted reviewing (updates are on the GFE as well). Thanks for a great referral from @outtathecage Trajan has his appointment tomorrow morning @vetcancergroup . This way there’s more options to explore for radiation treatment (as well as a better understanding of the cancer), and can work on a palliative plan. Trajan is eating but becoming very picky, any food ideas greatly suggested. I also got him some functional mushroom treats from @theboxer.canineprovisions , so look forward to adding that to his food. Thank you again so much for all of your support x. #dogcancer #rescue #gsd #rescuedog #shelterdog by @smeurer8

Alex is an adorable 12 week old fluffernutter mixed breed puppy at North Central Animal Shelter. Who says there’s no cute pups at the shelter?
With his Hershey Kiss eyes and fluffy hair, he is smooshable.
I missed his weight, but he is still small, puppy sized, available for adoption on 10/11/26

GoFundMe Update! Thank you so much to all those that donated or shared, it means so much! This is our chaotic little video, but at least gives an update on the pup’s current medical goals. Thank you! (I apologize for being so tired! But at least I got Chet to do a TikTok Live 😆). Link in bio to donate!#gofundme #savemydog #rescuedogsrock #seniorcitizens #cancer by @smeurer8

I met @sarahmchen and 💖🐾 @bringmushiehome 🐾💖 at an event with @maedayrescue and @good.boy.foundation to help with community vaccines and chips, as well as bring awareness for their missing dogs.
Zoe and Mushie have been missing for a long time, and went missing with their prospective dog sitters. But their families are not giving up hope. Please share if you can. #missingdog #lostdog #lostdogsofinstagram #findme by @smeurer8
