Brought a little Vegas to Monterey Bay. 😎✨

An honor to present at WOCON 2026 sharing real cases, real protocols, and a fresh perspective on Phase I treatment…with a little Elvis thrown in!

Thank you to everyone who joined me. Having my team, friends, and colleagues in the audience made this one especially meaningful. ❤️

A special thank you to my wife, Sierra, @meadephotography.co, for capturing these moments and always being in my corner. 📸❤️

Monterey Bay…thank you. Thank you very much! 🎤

Apparently once the glasses go on…
there’s no turning back.
These magical shades turn Dr. Derick Phan into Dr. Elvis Phan.
We may have had a little too much fun recording this…. But seriously Dr Elvis Phan will see you Ortho Summit in Vegas.
Should the glasses make a comeback appearance?

When you write your own walk on song and the host drops a flawless “Tell Me Why!”. Perfect timing. Perfect pitch. Absolute musical crime scene. I don’t even know why he apologized 😂. #invisalign #orthodontics #orthodontist #youwantinvisalign #backstreetboys by @smilephanatic

Team bonding, pedal powered! 🚲🌊

From learning together at WOCON to cruising Monterey’s coastline and celebrating at the aquarium, what an unforgettable weekend with this crew!

So many laughs. So many memories. And a little mystery about who was actually pedaling… and who was steering! 😂

Having everyone there for my presentation made it even more special.

Grateful for every one of you. ❤️

I’m honored to be returning to the Western Orthodontic Conference this October in beautiful Monterey.

This presentation feels especially meaningful because Monterey Bay was once home for me and it is where I began an important chapter of my career practicing both general and pediatric dentistry before becoming an orthodontist.

I’ll be presenting “Beyond Brackets: The New Phase I in the Aligner Era,” sharing how thoughtful early treatment can address difficult problems when they are often easier to manage, while creating a simpler and more predictable path toward Phase II.

My goal is so show some cases and protocols to help us rethink what is possible in early orthodontic treatment.

I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues, exchanging ideas, and returning to a place that remains an important part of my personal and professional journey.

See you in Monterey!

What a week.

From the Bracket Boys debut and an Elvis entrance…learning from amazing speakers, incredible conversations, reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones from around the world, this was an experience I’ll never forget.

Thank you to everyone who filled the rooms, stopped by to say hello, shared questions, and ideas. #orthosummit2026 #aligntech #orthodontist

🕷️🍿 Movie PHANS! 🎬

This weekend we traded dentistry and rented a theater to see Spider-Man with our incredible team.

I’m not just grateful for what we accomplish together in the office, it’s the relationships we build outside of it. These moments remind me that we’re more than coworkers… we’re a team.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun day. Seeing everyone laughing, relaxing, and making memories together was the best part of the weekend.

Here’s to many more team adventures ahead.

Thank you to every member of our team for your hard work, your dedication, and the smiles you help create every day. We couldn’t do it without you. Great smiles start with a great team. by @smilephanatic

For the first 20 seconds….

I borrowed a little inspiration…,

from Elvis….

then it was time to get serious…

for the next 45 minutes…

I hoped to leave everyone with something more valuable…

ideas they could take home on Monday morning…

The performance lasted 20 seconds.

The message was meant to last much longer.

A little less conversation…..

A little more innovation……

The lectures may bring us together… but the friendships are what keep us coming back.

One of my favorite parts of Ortho Summit isn’t just having the opportunity to speak alongside people I’ve admired for years, it’s getting to spend time with them once the lectures are over.

The conversations over dinner. The laughs in the lobby. The brainstorming sessions that somehow turn into lifelong friendships.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a community that is always willing to share ideas, celebrate each other’s successes, and push our specialty forward together. Thank you Align for the summer soirée to end the conference.

Until next time…. my heroes and friends. 🦷❤️ #orthosummit2026 #aligntech by @smilephanatic

The Backstreet Boys were performing at the Sphere.

They had the hits.
They had the choreography.
They had the fans.

The BRACKET BOYS were performing at the ARIA.

We had the protocols.
We had the biomechanics.
We had the digital workflows.
We had the innovations that went Beyond Brackets.

Thanks to everyone who joined us. We had an incredible time sharing ideas, learning from one another, and having a little fun along the way.

If you missed us this time… maybe you’ll catch the Bracket Boys on our next tour. 🎤🦷✨
