I’ve had a shaky September.

My head has sometimes told me I’m not coping, I’m not doing enough, I should be doing better.

But I’m learning that not every thought deserves to be believed.

So I’m reminding myself who the f$*k and I am and taking a few things with me into October:

✨ Notice the joy
✨ Practise gratitude
✨ Breathe
✨ Get in the cold water
✨ Trust myself a little more
✨ Remember that I’m doing better than I think I am

October, I’m bringing it! Prepare yourself.

She was a bit tired and a bit overwhelmed but she got off the sofa and went for a walk.

Reminders I’ve needed this week:

🩷Just because you’re struggling doesn’t mean you’re not coping
🩵 You can be grateful for your life and still find it bloody hard
💛 It’s okay to not be okay. And you don’t need to pretend you are.
💚 Some days running is my happy place. Some days I think it’s an absolute dickhead. Both can be true.

A week in Greece 🇬🇷

Sea swims, sunshine, boat trips, card games, freddo cappucinos, cocktails and a chance to slow down.

I hope I’ve given them a love of adventure. I hope I’ve shown them that it’s okay to choose themselves and build a life that makes them happy. I hope they know they are my treasure.

Getting to this point has come with plenty of worry, guilt and all the feelings in between. But this week reminded me that, in amongst all of that is a lot of love ❤️‍🩹

Officially divorced.

Not the ending I imagined years ago, but not the end of my story either.

This chapter has taught me resilience, courage, and just how much we’re capable of carrying.
