Today, I took on the daunting task of cleaning my friends fursuit. This suit was made back in 2016 by an unknown maker, so it is 10 years old!🎉

My friend has owned it for many years and unfortunately received terrible advice on fursuit upkeep and cleaning. I am partially responsible for said advice. But that’s because I didn’t explain the steps too well.

Well, I received a Bissell mini green machine for my birthday last month and I finally took it out the other day to clean Polaris. And I decided, since my friend and I are attending Texas Furry Fiesta at the end of the month, I would try to get her suit a bit more… presentable.

Now, unfortunately, since this is an older suit that was a first time make from the maker and my friend being a bit rough and terrible at upkeep, it is not in the best condition. So I did what I absolutely could when it came to cleaning. It’s a massive improvement to where it was. And once it fully dries, I’m hoping to replace the stuffing in the spikes and sew up the hole that’s in the head.

Thank you if you read this far, I just wanted to ramble 😅 let me know how well of a job I did!

One of the things I told myself is that I was gonna try new things this year. I wanted to experment with new mediums for my art. New styles. And today I did that.

I was inspired heavily by Iron Lung and decided to try and carve a stamp to use with my gel printing block. I’ve never carved a rubber stamp before. And I haven’t used a gel printing plate since high school.

My first carving attempt wasn’t the best. I partially blame that on the fact that my stencil just would not transfer to the rubber. But I’m gonna change how I make the stencil in the next attempt.

I’m proud of how it turned out, even if it’s not that great lol

Guess who’s back?? :3

I recently bought Polaris back and I am super happy to have him. I started missing him deeply earlier this year and after proposing to buy him back, I’m super happy that the person was more than happy to let me. I have some big ideas for this guy and I can’t wait to do them. So keep an eye out!

I am proud to be the torchbearer in my friends lives. That’s a position I hold with great pride. And I hope they always know just how much I love them and how I’ll always be there for them
