grab a nice bevvy bc my lastest yt video is live!!! issa soul-searching heartfelt journey in my own backyard 🇸🇬 an honest excavation of what Home & Belonging means as a Singaporean who never truly felt like i belonged. this project has been genuinely soooo life-changing. i hope you can feel it through my edits. 🥹 2 weeks of adventures and transformations condensed into 22 minutes. i lost count of how many times i teared while editing HAHAHA 😭😭🫶🏻

good morning 🌅 or should i say, 早安？

when i think of 安 ān, im awed by the multitude of beautiful meanings one chinese character can hold. it can be 安分、平安、安稳、安康、and so on. and they all somehow point to a feeling of tranquility and safety of sorts.

peace has been quite a dominant emotion in my life and also in my prayers ever since my saturn return. i truly only used to wish for “good”, and felt that “peace” was slow, unmoving, unambitious. until i realised so much of my striving was an antithesis to peace. until i fully surrendered did i realise peace feels so darn good in my body, so much more than constant growth & striving. only god (and my journal) knows how hard peace came by during my saturn return!

and now, i will never take a slow, ritualistic, peaceful morning for granted again. it’s recently been made even more beautiful by our new @drinkmorning morning mini machine 🥰

i wonder.. have you been in this dance between wishing for “good” and “peace” before, or is it just me? bahahaaha

ive never seen flower petals like that in real life!

f2.8 aperture really makes the subject pop

i kinda wished i shot this on low shutter so the motion blur would have been quite cool. but now being able to shoot on high shutter would make shooting movement so much more crispyyyyyy

the new pro camera controls are really making iPhone photography feel fun and not daunting anymore! i especially love shooting at night to see how the camera reacts :)

it’s bringing back the 2010s dslr light streak photos era 😂 (which i never really figured out how to achieve…)

but now, i know~ low shutter speed, and mooooove. bonus points if the aperture is at f1.8/f2.8, the star flares are sooooooo beautiful

it literally takes me 5s to capture a moment i want to document 🕰️

a new era has entered the chat 🐈🌹

thank you ted :”) aka the person who first laid bleach & colour on my hair 11 years ago. after 8 years with my beloved @impulse.collective team, i somehow found myself back in the chair of the hair artist who started it all for me yesterday, with @gweishi sat right beside me.

strangely, it felt like so much and yet nothing much have changed. we still bantered the way we did 10 years ago. i laughed and laughed and laughed like the carefree 20 year old i once was. 🥹 which is honestly, a rare beautiful feeling to have.

so happy to see us all thriving, growing, & learning 10 years on 🤍 thank you for once again, doing magic on my hair @chosm_tedng, and @gweishi for being my OG bleach buddy 😂🥰❣️❣️❣️

✨things in our cinematic home studio that just makes sense✨ (●°u°●) 」

😌 artist wife + a filmmaker husband = aesthetic yet functional 69sqm home studio for lots of creating & shooting

here’s a first look 💙

we wanted to keep our living hall as modular as possible so it stays versatile for our shooting needs, and yet we loooove a huge TV to watch films & youtube anywhere so a movable tv stand is perfect 👌🏻

we know we’d like to switch things up once in a while hence keeping everything movable was a priority in the hall 😆

with a movable tv stand, it was the best choice to get an Eubiq power track so we can keep our sockets movable and our wires neat 😭🙏🏻

it’s so convenient now to watch tv from the dining table or to make sure we can reach every corner to clean 🧼😌

we wanted to create demarcation between the living dining area and the rooms, yet we absolutely hate to see door hinges, tracks etc, so we settled on a ghost track sliding door thats looks soooo clean.

the space separation really does something to your eyes, making this space look like a spaceship rather than an hdb flat 🤣 (imo…)

one of our favourite features of the house 🏡💖 a stretched ceiling is a permanent softbox. soooo essential for our work. i love that i can make it look like golden hour all day long. 🥹 by @smxne
