Wedding Dinner in Kuala Lumpur🩷💚

We wanted this celebration to feel intimate, joyful, and a little bit like us — so we had to make it a matcha strawberry theme cause we both love matcha strawberry🤭 🍵🍓✨

With our closest family and friends, some flying in from around the world, we spent the dinner catching up, playing games, laughing, eating, and making memories together.

So grateful we got to celebrate this chapter back in KL, in a place that truly felt like home✨🏡

And a big thank you to our wonderful vendors for turning our matcha strawberry dream into a sweet little reality! 🫶🏻😚

The morning began quietly. A dress waiting to be worn, flowers tucked into place, parents fussing over the final details. Then came the girls, the boys, the tea, the laughter, and slowly, the house filled with all the lovely noise of a wedding beginning.

There was red silk against old blue walls. Orchids and folding fans. Tea poured with two hands. Rickshaws dressed for the occasion, waiting outside in the Penang heat. And then, of course, the lions, because some entrances deserve a little more ceremony.

What we loved most was how nothing felt too carefully orchestrated.
Traditions were honoured, but never performed for the sake of it.
Cultures met without needing to be explained.
Families simply folded into one another, and somewhere amongst all of it were Amanda and Florian, laughing, teasing, stealing little moments whenever they could.

There are weddings that are beautiful because of how they look, and then there are weddings you remember because of how they felt.

This one had both.

A little old Penang, a little East and West, a great deal of red, and so much heart.
