Kuramoto Ice has been producing premium clear ice in Kanazawa, Japan since 1923. When the brand made its entry into the Australian market, SNKPK was brought on to bridge the distance between two languages, two markets, and a century of craft. We handled the full translation of brand assets from Japanese to English, designed custom freezer displays, produced sales decks and handling guides, and built out their social media presence for a new audience. If you spotted a little white truck moving through the CBD, that wrap was ours too, designed, printed, and installed. Sebastian is a kakigori shop rooted in Tokyo. A French chef spent years building a menu that lives somewhere between Japanese shaved ice and French pastry. It found its cult following quietly. Melbourne was the next move, a chance to bring the brand to a new city on its own terms. // THE BRIEF // A new city needed a sharper identity. One that reflected the craft, made sense to a Melbourne crowd, and didn’t sand off what made Sebastian itself. // WHAT WE WORKED ON // Menu redesign — swapped illustration for photography. Better for the product, better for the brand. Social content — close-up product shots; a seasonal template system using fruit and geometric shapes to keep the feed consistent without being repetitive Staff uniforms — white aprons for front-of-house, brown for kitchen, an orange silk scarf across both. Professional, not stiff. // THE OUTCOME // The Melbourne account runs independently from Tokyo. A local audience is growing. Meet Le Bajo Milkbar. Brand Management for @lebajo_milkbar Your friendly neighbourhood milkbar that bakes its own bread, roasts its own coffee, and fills a plant-lined garage with sandos, pasta, pastries, housemade drinks, and more. Le Bajo started as a brief about community. A space for all ages, rooted in the neighbourhood but shaped by three very different worlds: vintage Australian goods, the warmth of Japanese kissaten culture, and the island of Labuan Bajo. The design had to carry all of that without choosing one over another. The approach was mixed media. Hand-drawn illustrations, sketches, handwriting, kept imperfect, kept textured. The kind of marks that feel like they were made by someone who actually lives around the corner. Bajo Kun, the komodo dragon, became the anchor. Playful enough to belong on a paper bag. Grounded enough to mean something. by @snkpk_

Meet Cafe Ogawa. A 30-year-old ramen institution with 17 locations across Tokyo and Kanagawa, making their first move into Australia. We were brought in to make sure it landed right. Over 12–15 months, we worked across every layer of the brand: creative direction, identity design, menu development, and operational management. We ran a pop-up to test the market, gather real feedback, and shape what the permanent venue would become. The result is Cafe Ogawa, a neighbourhood ramen shop in Ascot Vale. Built to transport you to Japan with every visit. Every detail was considered. None of it happened by accident. by @snkpk_

Meet Atsu. Creative Direction for Atsu @atsu.melb Atsu specialises in katsu and kushi. Taking over the former Leonie upstairs space, reimagined with a sharper focus and a clear point of view. This brand began with a very different identity. We went back and forth, testing, refining, and scrapping ideas to find the right direction. It took time to arrive at this iconic “K”, designed to read as くし (kushi) in a traditional Japanese script style. The final mark feels simple, but it carries intent, craft, and restraint. Last night we joined @andro1dgirl and @pumaau to celebrate the archival H-Street silhouette that reflects the everyday athletes working across the venues of the Tsunagu Project. We created a one-night-only gelato for the event: Matcha × Black Sesame, finished with edible glitter. @279victoriast catered sandwiches, with Hareruya pastries and matcha cocktails rounding out the menu. The launch took place inside @lebajo_milkbar's garage space, bringing together Melbourne’s fashion community for a night that connected street style with our world of food. Fizzy Green led the palette across the H-Street range, complemented by black/silver, frosted ivory and other archival colourways. Which colourway speaks to you? taken in Le Bajo Milk Bar by @snkpk_
