Sapporo’s 2 MICHELIN STAR tempura restaurant just opened in Melbourne — and most sets are under $30 🍤
__
Tempura Araki @tempura_araki by Chef Yoshiyuki Araki from Hokkaido is now in Melbourne in a more casual setting.

Low gluten flour and sesame oil imported from Japan — the batter is so light you won’t feel heavy after. That’s the difference.

Another exciting project by @kantarookada @snkpk_

My top pick — the Araki Teishoku Set $38. A little pricier but you try all the tempura. Four freshly fried courses served each course that feel like a mini omakase.

We ordered:
🍤 Araki Teishoku Set $38 — 4 courses, upgrade to jumbo king prawn ⭐
🍚 Special Ebi Tendon $28.50 — add the poached egg ⭐
🍜 Kakiage Dashi Udon $21.50 — so chewy and springy ⭐
🍠 Tempura Japanese Sweet Potato with Housemade Milk Ice Cream $10.50
🍰 Basque Cheesecake $12.00

📍 @tempuraaraki 225-229 Victoria St, West Melbourne
__

Last night we joined @andro1dgirl and @pumaau to celebrate the archival H-Street silhouette that reflects the everyday athletes working across the venues of the Tsunagu Project.

We created a one-night-only gelato for the event: Matcha × Black Sesame, finished with edible glitter.

@279victoriast catered sandwiches, with Hareruya pastries and matcha cocktails rounding out the menu.

The launch took place inside @lebajo_milkbar's garage space, bringing together Melbourne’s fashion community for a night that connected street style with our world of food.

Fizzy Green led the palette across the H-Street range, complemented by black/silver, frosted ivory and other archival colourways.

Which colourway speaks to you?

Thank you to everyone who came out to join us for the 2nd Edition of the @pumaau H-Street Social, at one of our favourite local spots @lebajo_milkbar 🤍

We worked in partnership with TSUNAGU Project to bring to life our H-Street vision, combining our photoshoots with @moralrefuse taken at @hareruyapantry and @279victoriast with the incredible work of @snkpk_ to decorate the interior and exterior of Le Bajo. The night was filled with special treats like the custom gelato flavour in neon green and silver speckles, a matcha cocktail and cookies and sandos. We also had live calligraphy, a DJ set from @bayblade.k and of course, plenty of pairs of H-Street including a few from the @andro1dgirl archive!

Thanks so much to everyone for such a lovely night of chatting and fun!
