❄️ Celebrating an incredible response to our 2026/2027 Snow Angel Bursary, offered by the BSSA (Bermuda Ski and Snowboard Association)! 🇧🇲

We’ve been blown away by the interest this year, and a huge well done to everyone who’s made it through to the interview stage. It’s been fantastic to see so many people putting themselves forward for this opportunity! 💖

Thoughts, love, prayers and strength to Sergio’s family and friends as they deal with this tragic and devastating news.

Across our community over the last few days, there is a shared sense of gratitude for the opportunity to have created so many memories with Serg, both on and off the slopes. He was a wonderful friend to so many, and we feel so touched to have known such a special and kind person. His attitude to life, calming nature and positive energy will be carried through.

I know there are a lot of us hurting right now, so please reach out if you need anything, or just need someone to be there. by @snow.bermuda

❄️ Celebrating our Vice President & Charity Director, Andre - also known as ‘Ski Jesus’! 🎿

Andre has put so much into our club right from the very beginning. From organising tennis socials and games evenings to being the driving force behind our group trips, he’s helped create so many of the experiences that bring our community together.

We’ve been to Toronto twice, taught various people to ski, and even became the 2nd biggest group attending MLK Ski Weekend last year!

Thank you, Andre! ❤️

All about Andre:
“The only time I want to be in the snow is when I am skiing, tubing, or snowmobiling. I was thirteen when I first began to ski, and I have loved it all my life. Being from Chicago and going to university in Michigan, I would always ski at the (not too far) ski hills that were available. Once a year, travel to the East to experience a real mountain.

As a young adult I would get all my friends into skiing. I would take the youth group from my church skiing and often I was the one giving ski lessons. Some of my fondest memories as a young adult was traveling to places like Whistler, Deer Valley, and Vale with a group of young adults. We would rent a villa or a house, and party the whole weekend.

Then I grew up; got married and had children, and now it’s time to get them on the slopes! I would love to see more families in Bermuda experience the winter landscapes that Bermuda Snow Society will provide.”

Join us after work this Thursday as we celebrate the end of summer with one last Rosedon Poolside BBQ 🌴☀️

Wow - something special happened last night 🥃

Our very first BSSA fundraiser, hosted in partnership with @thebotanistbermuda, was a full house and such a brilliant way to begin this next chapter.❄️

Most importantly, the evening raised funds for the Snow Angel Bursary, helping create an opportunity for someone to experience skiing or snowboarding who might not otherwise have the chance.

It’s incredibly exciting to see the charity starting to take shape, and even more so to see the support around it growing.

A huge thank you to our friends and local businesses who helped make the evening extra special: @thebotanistbermuda, @goslingslimited, @discoverywinesbda, @waterfrontwines.bermuda and @tuckshopbermuda

“Wait… is this actually real?”

Talking to potential Snow Angel bursary applicants this week; it’s the one thing we keep hearing!

Yes. It really is real! 🥹

The BSSA’s Snow Angel Bursary gives one lucky recipient the opportunity to learn to ski or snowboard and experience the magic of the mountains - with all costs covered, including flights, accommodation, food, lessons and more. ⛷️🏂

It’s an incredible chance to discover something completely new, build confidence, step outside your comfort zone and create memories that could last a lifetime.

And honestly? We love that people are still surprised that an opportunity like this exists right here in Bermuda.

That’s what the Snow Angel Bursary is all about: breaking down the financial barriers to skiing and snowboarding and making the experience of getting on the snow accessible to more people. ❄️

✨ Applications are now open for the 2026/27 Snow Angel Bursary.
