❤️ Holding your sensitive, creative, deep feeling soul & your 🔥too muchness🔥 on the messy & MAGICAL journey from 🪨SUPPRESSED to ⚡️FULLY EXPRESSED✨
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
One of the strangest things about being AuDHD is the constant battle between being completely fucking overwhelmed and absolutely UNDERWHELMED.

And in recent weeks I’ve swung HARD into underwhelm- I am SO bored.

Not “I need to find something to do” bored, I have plenty to do. I’m talking mind-numbingly, skin-crawlingly bored, frantic in my body and somehow completely shut down at the same time.

It’s like I desperately need to FEEL something MORE.

I want to be reckless, I want to do something outrageous just to feel some VOLTAGE.

For me this is the AuDHD mindfuck💥

Because so much of my life is spent trying to reduce overwhelm, making things manageable, recovering from burnout, trying to eat properly, exercise, sleep, trying to look after myself, trying to create enough space that my brain and body can actually cope with being alive.

And then the pendulum swings and I cannot bear how fucking SENSIBLE everything is.

School holidays magnify it, the usual space I have to meet my own needs disappears and I can feel myself slipping into that weird AuDHD freeze where I’m simultaneously desperate for stimulation and unable to make anything happen.

I wanted to be at Thump festival this weekend SO badly, my excruciating-endo-womb had other ideas🩸

I wanted electronic music in the woods- bass, sweat, dancing all night, adults being weird AF, no children, no responsibilities, no rules.

And right now I can’t even disappear into the gym and lift something ridiculously heavy.

I’m sober, I’m responsible, I’m a mother, I’m 47 years old, I’ve spent years healing, becoming healthier, stronger, even more awakened and self aware.

And sometimes I am so tired of being decent and acceptable I could SCREAM.

And now, I really get it…I need more space in my life for ALL of me, more intensity, more freedom, more actual grown ass adult frivolous FUN.

Enough aliveness that I don’t periodically become so starved of it I want to burn the whole thing down.

I know I need the slow, the calm, the peace in nature, the space, the rest…
But fuck me, I need the INTENSITY too

I’m not here for shallow waters.💦

I’m here for the fierce-hearted, the tender rebels, the ones who feel everything and still show up radiant, raw, and real.

I’m here for the creative, divergent souls who constantly swim up the mainstream, knowing there is a better way…🐟

I’m here to swim in the depths, where the mystery stirs and the magic dances beneath the surface. 🌊

For the ones who’ve always felt too much, too intense, too loud, too sensitive, too different…

I share so much of my personal journey because, as a 4/6 Projector, it’s my Human Design to reflect and guide others through what I’ve lived.

I’m weirdly comfortable in the deepest dark shadows and it’s my purpose to excavate the gold and then share it with you.

It’s not about me, it’s about showing you the way to your own truth, and I’m finally able to own this.

The Medicine Woman in me holds the stories, the fierce wisdom, the lessons learned through chaos and clarity.

My sharing is a form of ceremony, a way to pass on the wisdom I’ve gleaned, with the intention of bringing us all closer to our fullest, most authentic expressions of ourselves -especially as a fellow sensitive, creative, “Too Much” woman navigating perimenopause, parenting two neurodivergent daughters, and the daily beauty and brutality of this life.

I know it in my cells. I know how it feels.

Every experience, every struggle, every breakthrough, and every grief-soaked moment is a piece of the puzzle.

And I offer them up to you -raw, unfiltered, and vulnerable- not because I need to be seen, but because I know in sharing my truth, you might recognise glimmers of yours.

There’s power in being heard, especially when you’ve always felt “different”. There’s healing in knowing we are not alone.

I don’t share to seek validation or praise. I share because it’s my role, as a 4/6 Projector to dive into my own murky depths then share the revelations, so perhaps you can see aspects of yourself in my experience. To guide you back to your own wisdom, your own wild truth, and the parts of yourself that have been suppressed, ignored, or forgotten.

This is how I show up; not as someone with all the answers, I certainly don’t have it all together…but as someone who has lived enough, and done a decade of deep inner work, to awaken the magic.

My purpose is to offer the space where you can see yourself, feel yourself, and finally come home to yourself. And in that, we heal.

DM me the words TOO MUCH if you want to connect more personally. I’d love to hear your story.

I keep wondering- infuriated- when “embodiment“ became yet another cliched aesthetic for women to live up to.

Because if we’re talking about freedom, liberation and “coming home to our bodies” through dance, I want to SEE bodies that I recognise myself in…

Middle-aged bodies, middle-sized bodies, fat bodies, lanky bodies, disabled bodies, ageing bodies, awkward bodies, sweaty bodies…

Bodies with muffin tops, big tummies, wrinkles, cellulite, scars, bingo wings and boobs that bounce when we dance!

Because, Helllooooo!
There are LOADS of US out here!

I want to see women stomping, jiggling, shaking, flailing, barely moving, moving massively, losing it or exploring something completely random instead …and having the fucking time of their lives…

NOT giving a shit what they look like.

Which, ironically, is sort of the whole bloody point.

I don’t want Fierce Wisdom to contribute to another fantasy of what an “embodied woman” is supposed to LOOK like.

I’m interested in what happens when we stop performing embodiment and actually experience it WITHIN ourselves.

Because your dancing body does NOT owe anybody a beautiful shape.

And I think THAT is where embodiment gets real, raw, and actually genuinely exciting!

Fierce Wisdom Dance is coming for you Beautiful Soul.

Tonight at 2am, Sukie turns 14.

But today was the day she wanted to be born.

We’d done hypnobirthing, I was excited, I trusted my body completely.

Labour was incredible!
I was oohing & mooing on my ball, laughing between contractions because I couldn’t believe how amazing it felt- powerful, surrendered, completely in flow. I remember thinking, I can’t believe I’m actually doing this.

By 9pm I had the overwhelming urge to push, on all 4s in the pool and everything felt right. I was following my body, following hers, following millions of years of women’s bodies doing exactly what they were designed to do.

Then Ollie rang the midwives… everything changed. I was told to get out of the pool. Stop pushing. WAIT.

I knew it was wrong- Every part of me knew it was wrong.

But fear entered the room-not mine-theirs. Along with protocol.

I stopped feeling safe enough to keep listening to myself.

I got into the bath, onto my back. The moment I lay down, I felt her move with such force it winded me.

Everything stopped, the urge to push disappeared, I knew something had changed.

By the time the midwives arrived they took one look at me and knew I was ready to push… as I had been hours before.

But it wasn’t her head coming, it was her elbow.

Four hours later, after trying to birth her elbow first, she was born in Brighton Hospital after an episiotomy.

That night changed everything, it was the night I let go of the deepest knowing I have ever experienced- The night I handed my power to people who believed they knew my body better than I did.

Three years later, Oona was born at home, by then I’d become a different woman- 3 years of motherhood taught me I needed to be.

I wasn’t handing my power to anyone again.

She flew out like a torpedo! That birth didn’t erase the wound Sukie’s birth had left- it showed me what became possible when I refused to abandon myself.

A little holding post… An acknowledgement. A landing back into “reality” after an intense and epic five days…

Because @avalondanceodyssey is still doing its thing… my cells are rearranging themselves like glitter dancing in the sunlight…

My body is home… but a large part of me is still somewhere between the pounding basslines, dirty dubstep, tribal drums, squelchy wonky beats, ecstatic house, barefoot dancefloors, dusty feet, ridiculousness, boob bathing, the sweatiest, most expansive dances I’ve ever done, and those moments where the music and those incredible DJs completely hijacked my heart and soul…

I spent this morning with my therapist gently picking apart the whole experience through the lens of being a late-diagnosed AuDHDer in perimenopause.

Which, it turns out, is quite the fuck-tonne-of-a ride.

Because alongside all the joy, connection and absolute euphoria… my brain has also been busy conducting a full post-festival investigation.

Every conversation.
Every interaction.
Every decision.
Every expression.
Every tiny moment.

Honestly… give my AuDHD brain five days at a sober festival where I’m not masking with alcohol or drugs, where every high is completely natural, every emotion is fully felt, every connection is real… and it’ll happily write a 47-volume psychological case study afterwards.

And it’s fucking exhausting.

Yes, I could be present. Yes, I could be embodied. And hell yes, I was those things…

…and then my monotropic brain would quietly pull me back into its favourite pastime… trying to understand every tiny thread of the human experience.

I’ve got so much to integrate. So much grief. So many beautiful, deepening realisations. So many words that aren’t quite ready yet.

On the way home from therapy this morning I found myself pulling into a lay-by, kicking off my shoes and wandering into a field because my body had made a very clear decision.

Less thinking, Georgie.

More dancing, please.

So that’s exactly what I did.

The thesis can wait for another day.

Today, this track, this field and a stomping barefoot dance amongst the cow pats felt like exactly the medicine I needed. by @so_georgie_

Sometimes, feeling so deeply connected to nature feels isolating…

Not because nature feels lonely, quite the opposite…

At times I feel more connected to the flowers, the trees, the beautiful intricacies of the natural world than I do to the humans (and the demands) around me.

Sometimes it’s as though I’m noticing a completely different world… a world full of tiny miracles… A world that feels alive, magical and worthy of close attention…

For days, I had been utterly obsessed with the daisies in the garden of our holiday house in Cornwall.

Not just a few daisies - masses of them, the grass was a sea of white and gold, some with pink-tipped petals, wide to the sun, some still folded up in the morning shade, waiting for their turn to bloom fully.

I was in awe at these tiny ordinary wonders growing together, collectively in the lawn.

As always, I fell a little bit in love with something everyone else considered entirely
unremarkable…

Then one morning the gardener arrived - my god - I felt genuine panic - seriously - there were almost tears!

Why?!

Why do we need everything tidy, trimmed and controlled?

Why aren’t we happy with flower-filled grass buzzing with life and colour?

I stood there genuinely distressed while the strimmer literally sent daisy heads flying through the air… a daisy massacre.

I started frantically picking as many as I could before they disappeared - it felt criminal.

I picked handfuls, and of course I photographed them…

Of course I put them in a tiny cup beside my bed…

Of course I pressed some to bring home.

Because that’s what I do.

Some will read this and think, “OMG - they’re just daisies.”

But I don’t think they’re JUST daisies.

I think this is why nature saves me, over and over again.

Because in a world that moves too fast, too loud, nature keeps inviting me to notice the delicate detail… the beauty most people walk past.

Perhaps this is one of the gifts of being a deeply feeling human.

🪨Grief is bigger.

🔥Rage is bigger.

But so is the AWE✨

So is the wonder🌸

So is the love💖

I’d rather be the weirdo crying over daisies than the one who never noticed them at all🌼 taken in Rock by @so_georgie_

The last week has felt huge for me.

After 27 years… I finally have the words endometriosis & adenomyosis written in black and white.
27 years since my first laparoscopy at 20 years old.
27 years of debilitating pain, soul crushing fatigue, trying to function through agony, and feeling like my body was screaming whilst nobody was truly listening.

Now I’m feeling the uncomfortable depth and mess of it all.

Relief, grief, fury, validation. Sadness for the younger me who spent so many years disconnected from the truth of her own body because the world around her kept minimising it.

At the same time, everything in my work is 🔥alchemising into one magical powerful force:

Fierce Wisdom.

The Fierce Wisdom of our bodies, intuition, movement, music, nature…
Of creativity, colour, emotion and free expression.
Of women gathering together in community again to laugh, cry, dance, create, unravel and witness one another honestly.

Fierce Wisdom gathers
Fierce Wisdom dances
Fierce Wisdom creates
Fierce Wisdom heals- TOGETHER.

Together with truth, vulnerability and un-masked holding.

And yet here I am.

AuADHD, Hypermobility, brutal perimenopause since Long Covid, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis.

Cycles that arrive whenever the fuck they want… 8 days, 15, 40, 60…and when they do arrive they wreck me.

And yet simultaneously there is this passionate fire for my soul purpose- my mission.

I can FEEL the magic rising…
The FW Gatherings, FW Dances- Held spaces where women can stop pretending they’re fine.

But at the exact same time, part of me wants curl up and become smoosh…

To just stop, rest, make art, dance, frolic in nature, be a Mother, a Creative.

And yet the thought of retreating terrifies me too because I do not believe healing happens alone…

I know the power of swimming in the messy depths together.

Because maybe MY Fierce Wisdom doesn’t require me to have transcended the pain before I can still gather, dance, create and hold space within it?

Last night Sukie went to Brighton Dome to see the London Symphony Orchestra play Beethoven and Tchaikovsky… and we were absolutely mesmerised.

Not just by the music itself- although the sound was so immensely beautiful it almost didn’t feel human at times… but the orchestra as a living, breathing body.

The bows all rising together like a flock of birds, the delicious staccato plucking of the strings, double bass players grinning with their whole bodies!

The percussionist sitting with his eyes closed for huge stretches of time before suddenly crashing giant hand cymbals together like a thunder god!

Some of the musicians looked utterly transported,
fully inside the music, feeling it in their whole beings.

Others felt far more contained, composed,
more technically precise than emotionally expressive.

And with the occasional glance around the audience, I became so aware of how differently we all experience beauty and awe.

The entire theatre was utterly transfixed… but soooo still- strangely so!

Meanwhile me and my beautifully divergent girl were finger dancing through the whole thing whilst holding hands.

Tiny movements, sparks of delight, currents of music moving through our bodies because honestly… how could you NOT move?! Seriously?!

At one point a fly drifted across the stage and my ADHD brain instantly created an entire cartoon catastrophe involving a startled violinist, flying bows and total orchestral chaos…

Obviously.

And then at the end… the applause.

Not restrained clapping- a roaring rainstorm of sound.

Waves of it crashing through the stalls while people who had sat so politely for hours finally let their wonder out.

Honestly it felt incredible,
grounding, yet electric.

And SUCH a relief to whoop loudly too- PHEW!

I know us divergent souls experience music in an especially visceral way-not just as sound…
but as sensation.

As movement, as texture…light moving through us…

Like being allowed to swim inside feeling itself.

And that’s the joy of embodiment too-

Not suppressing delight,
not disconnecting from your body in order to look composed.

Just fully, curiously, exquisitely there. ✨ taken in Brighton Dome Concert Hall by @so_georgie_

Lately, a delicious new flavour of Fierce Wisdom has been moving through me.

Not through force or perfectionism…
not through getting stuck in an overthinking hurricane…

But through electronic dance music, rhythm, colour, and free-flow exploration.

Through deep, dirty bass and full-bodied creative surrender.

These beauties have become a daily ritual, a meditation,
a passionate hyperfocus…

A devotional act of embodied expression.

Keeping it simple: A3 paper, paint sticks, acrylic pens, and my beloved playlists.

I drop in, feel into my body, and let the music be my muse…

Each mark becomes a conversation, a gesture, a bassline, a synth, a rise, a drop.

Layer by layer, sound becomes colour.
Rhythm becomes movement.
Sensation becomes pattern.

There’s no prep or planning.

I listen,
I disappear into the depths of sound…
I become a translator.

This is somatic art-making- play, joy…
Flow-state liberation.

What emerges are wild visual symphonies…
inner landscapes born through marks, instinct, and sound.

Living expressions of music moving through body, heart, and hand.

There is something profoundly freeing about creating this way…

Looser, electric, alive.

A reclamation of my creative life-force.

These daily pieces may look frivolous,
but beneath them, something much bigger is unfurling:

A deeper creative language, a riotous devotion to embodied expression.

A richer invitation for sensitive, creative, “too much” women
to move, feel, create, and reclaim themselves.

This is not separate from my healing work-
it’s expansive evolution.

Fierce Wisdom dances.
Fierce Wisdom creates.
Fierce Wisdom lives in all of us.

And my god… it feels fucking fabulous.

Yesterday, I remembered who the fuck I am.

Away from demands.
Away from expectation.
Away from the relentless pressure I put upon myself.

And for those precious hours in London…

I was thriving.

Walking the South Bank in the sunshine, crossing the Millennium Bridge…Listening to delicious little fragments of strangers’ conversations.
Tiny accidental poems drifting through the air and landing in my curious mind…

God, I’ve always loved that.

For a moment, I found myself wondering…

Maybe if life had looked different…
If I still lived in London or Brighton…
If I wasn’t a mother…
If I didn’t hold so much…

Maybe AuADHD would have felt easier.

Because yesterday?

There was no problem.

No overwhelm, no overstimulation, no stress at all…

Just immersive art, curiosity, movement, hyperfocus, expansion,
creative devotion.

And then today came.

And this is the part people do not always see, and actually I’m only just starting to allow for myself…

Today, my body is paying for it.

My sensitive, empathic soul is fried.
My mind is overloaded.
My body feels bruised by the sheer intensity of wonder, stimulation, emotion, and depth.

Yesterday was medicine for sure…

But today is brutal recovery.

Because this is the paradox of AuADHD:

Even the most beautiful, expansive, soul-filling experiences can cost us.

It sucks.

It’s not that I shouldn’t have done, and the day nourished me deeply on so many levels…

But an AuDHD system often struggle to hold that much.

That much story.
That much stimulation.
That much emotion.
That much life.

So today, I’m honouring the crash.

The shutdown, the exhaustion, the need to hide from the world.

This does not erase yesterday’s magic.

It simply means my brain and body are still processing it all.

And maybe that’s something more people need to understand about AuADHD:

Sometimes the things that light us up most…
Also require the deepest recovery… annoyingly, what goes up must come down. taken in Sussex, England by @so_georgie_

Today, I am remembering who the fuck I am…
Away from demands.
Away from the excruciating pressure I put upon myself.

I gifted myself a date day in London…

Alone.
By myself.
With myself.

Not as someone’s mother.
Not as mediator, advocate, or keeper of everyone else’s needs.

Today, I do not even need to be a friend, or available…
To anyone but myself.

And flip me… there is something deeply nourishing about that.

Today I do not have to wedge myself into school-run hours or spend half my life driving.

I do not have to justify how I spend my time.

I do not have to feel ashamed for not working, producing, serving, or endlessly thinking…

Today, I am going to the Tate Modern, to see Tracey Emin.
To wander for hours in the sunshine, to linger, to breathe…
To follow nothing but my own curiosity.

Today I feed my hunger for art, for culture, for creative stimulation.

And in this spaciousness…

I can feel her again.

The woman beneath the pressure…
The creative,
the seeker of colour, vibrancy, rich experience…

I am a facilitator of Fierce Wisdom.
A nurturer of creativity.
A woman here to awaken self-expression.

The most fascinating part?

When I am free of life’s demands, the inspiration comes back.

The creativity rises.

The desire to share becomes genuine again.

Not forced, not performative, not squeezed out of depletion.

But alive.

Today was vital for me, not indulgence.

Today I remember who the fuck I am, and who I came here to be.
