Berlin's screamo scene keeps producing bands that treat the genre like it still has something to prove. Soastasphrenas @soastasphrenas - a four-piece split between Cyprus and the United States - are one of them. Their second album "Eris" dropped March 13, 2026 on Dancing Rabbit Records and a spread of DIY labels worldwide, with 500 vinyl pressed across three variants.

We talked to vocalist Nate about burying 150 voices inside one record, mood boards built around urban hell and mania, why "Eris" stays in the collapse where their debut allowed for rebirth, pulling equally from Glassjaw and Cypriot folk music, and what holds Berlin's screamo underground together.
