“I thought, ‘I’m home, […] Because in my life I wasn’t partaking in what everyone else was partaking in I felt different […] Then I found myself in a room full of people who, for varying reasons, where the same. […] Whatever it was they were in that room and they were full of ideas and that’s what I was looking for – ideas, people who were interested in kicking around some thoughts instead of letting things get blurry.”

Who else but Ian MacKaye would sum up our feelings about our second Rites of Spring?

It wasn’t just our expectations that were already high after 2025; which honestly felt three years ago, given everything that went into this one. And still: when the bands, helpers, old friends and new friends all landed in Kafe Kult on Friday and Saturday, it was all worth it. There’s nothing sweeter than music and a caring community at what felt like 78% humidity and 37°C.

Thanks again to everyone who was a part of Rites of Spring 2026, onstage & offstage.

A last round of applause for our performers, please:
@raein.band @weatherday_pc @pennwoodrd @moralbombing @ipracticesayingsorry @stormoband @olderfriendsband @soastasphrenas @leda.it @hummmbcn

And thanks to our backstage family keeping it all together: @marc.e.moon @deroansa @zweigstelle_nordbooking @maranemn @nospaceforbones @filipkrmr @kolo_armin @benatthevinylsection @an.am.der @yung.nelis @janinaalaska @vladdxc @doc_darkko & Dani - nothing would be possible without you 🩷

Throwback to our little run with our lovely friends @soastasphrenas ~a month ago. Four great shows in amazing company!

@aworldofourownfest in Berlin was incredible and an honor to be part of.
Thank you to @viellaermumnix_shows, @was___bleibt and @burnburnxbooking for the shows and hospitality in Trier, Karlsruhe and Gera.

Each time we do this, we get amazed at the talent, energy and engagement that you can find out there. Can't wait to get out on the road again.
