A new chapter - A new website under my own name. So BANG Paris has always been more than edible couture. It is part of a wider creative path shaped by fashion, image-making, detail and composition. Before founding So BANG, I spent more than a decade in fashion editorial at Condé Nast Germany, including my role as Fashion Director. Since then, moving from image to object has sharpened the way I approach creative direction - with curiosity, vision, precision and intuition. My new website as Creative Director is now live. It brings together creative direction, artistic direction, visual concepts and selected work across fashion, design and art de vivre. Link in profile. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share the expanded creative vision I pursue alongside So BANG Paris. I’m Chi-Young Bang, Creative Director and Founder of So BANG. After more than a decade at Condé Nast shaping visual narratives in fashion and luxury, I created So BANG to explore the intersection of fashion, design, and edible sugar art - a space where my artistic sensibilities and multidisciplinary passions naturally converged. Through So BANG, I’ve shared edible art pieces that express this creative universe. Now I extend my creative work beyond So BANG - collaborating with luxury brands and creative teams to craft distinctive visual concepts and artistic directions. Drawing on a multidisciplinary background in fashion, design and art, I bring a refined aesthetic sensibility and a clear conceptual perspective to the collaborators I work with - creating coherent, elevated and contemporary visual narratives for luxury maisons, as well as culinary and hospitality concepts. Some ideas begin as experiments. Others begin with curiosity, the kind that makes you look twice. This curated series by So BANG invites exactly that moment: the pause before recognition, the second glance that reveals something unexpected. Led by Creative Director Chi-Young Bang, familiar elements - fish, fruit, florals, and plated compositions are reimagined entirely in sugar. What appears natural at first slowly reveals itself as carefully sculpted illusion. Each piece is created to awaken curiosity and transform an ordinary dining moment into something memorable. From delicate botanical forms piped in royal icing to hyper-realistic sugar interpretations of fish and fruit, this series reflects an ongoing fascination with perception and the quiet surprise of how imagination can reshape what we think we see.
