POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What a whirlwind this Cannes has been and how sweet to think back to our first time at this festival in 2021.

This year we were invited to pitch Camino in Cannes with
@breakingthroughthelens, an incredible organization unapologetically championing underrepresented voices.

We are beyond grateful to be part of BTTL’s cohort this year and can’t wait for what this year has in store.

@pucci.productions @beso_productions we’re doing the damn thing 🤠

@annabella.fazio the world is not ready for everything we have up our sleeves ❣️

With the insanity of film festivals, pitches, and announcements, it’s easy to get swept up in the momentum - but amongst it all, we’re so excited to officially launch our production company: @beso_productions ❣️

We met 11 years ago, have travelled and lived all over the world, and have made many films together along the way. This feels like the perfect next step: a home for the stories, filmmakers, and collaborations we believe in. Most importantly, we’ve been guided and championed by incredible filmmakers throughout our own journeys, and we’re excited to build a company that can offer that same support to others.

The video at the end is from the day we wrapped production on our very first short film together in 2020, a tiny little time capsule of where it all began.

Here’s to building something bold, generous, intimate, and full of heart.

A little over two years ago, Lucia called me to tell me she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Almost in the same breath, she told me about all of the art she wanted to create in this time: short films, documentaries, art collectives, charity projects, and the list goes on.

She asked me and @alycialycialycialycia to help document part of her process, including filming her head being shaved.

Soon after that, she sent me the first draft of Headscarf, a short film about a woman navigating her sexuality and desires all while the middle of chemotherapy. With a group of friends on a sunny March day, Lucia directed this beautiful film on 16 mm.

Fast forward and film has already screened at San Sebastian film festival, Spain (where it won 2nd place!!), Women X, UK, and finally we get to announce it’s going to Austin Film festival, US!

I’m immensely proud of this project, but more importantly, I’m proud of my friends, I’m proud of Lucia and proud to have this under @beso_productions slate as associate producers alongside the amazing producers @thejulietteholmes @lind.films & @santapacienciafilms

I’ve always love watching people do the thing they really love, being in their element, and getting completely lost in their art. Seeing Bre bring @seamlessmethod to life is the biggest honor and being a part of this shoot was a dream x by @sofi.kunz

So honored to share that my debut feature, Camino, is a finalist for the Breaking Through the Lens Action Grant ❣️

Grateful to @daphneschmon and the incredible @breakingthroughthelens team for championing female & queer stories, and to be named amongst such talented filmmakers. This recognition came with so much advocating - which goes to show that people DO believe in our insane ideas and want to see these stories on screen.

Thank you to my amazing Camino Team @sofi.kunz @jaderisser and so many more who are pushing this film forward.
