already enough of a plot twist, but realizing you don’t have anything with you? 🫩

It’s an experience a lot of students know way too well: your period shows up unexpectedly and suddenly you’re trying to figure out what to do next. Do I ask a friend? Go to the nurse? Tell my teacher? What if I already bled through? How much class am I about to miss just trying to find a pad or tampon?

For one student, it might become an awkward story they remember years later. For another, it’s something that keeps happening because the products they need simply aren’t available when and where they need them.

On October 13, we need students to show up at the Broward County School Board meeting and make their experiences heard. If you’ve dealt with this at school, know someone who has, or simply want to support greater menstrual access for Broward students, this is your chance to be part of the conversation.

Not sure how to attend or what showing up looks like? DM @prism.fl , @promote.her , or @youthactionfund and we’ll help you get the information you need.

Because getting your period at school can be unpredictable but having access to period products doesn’t have to be. by @sofloperiodpantry

🌸📚MIA PACKING PARTY RESCHEDULE:

Long time, no party! SFPP is back with another period packing party for the Miami-Dade area! On *AUGUST 12th* at 4:30 PM, we’ll be joining the North Dade Regional Library during the Teen Library Advisory Committee hour to organize for period empowerment.

💌 Bring donations of menstrual products to help us pack items: pads, tampons, flushable wipes, OTC pain relievers, and more. The library will be hosting a drive from today until the new scheduled date in exchange for volunteer hours!

🌹 we’re opening a new FREE period pantry at @whiterosemia and we need your help stocking it before setup this week! 💗☕️

right now, we’re especially in need of tampons and overnight pads. If you’re able to contribute, we’re asking for a minimum $10 donation to help us purchase supplies and make sure our community has access to essential menstrual products.

wanna help out? send your donation via Venmo or Cash App: @soflopp

every contribution helps us fill the shelves and support neighbors with dignity and care. Thank you for showing up for community mutual aid this Juneteenth weekend AND Pride Month! 🩸✨🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
