We are super excited to have @softiesburger coming to Mandarin 2 this Saturday to do a one day event with us together!✨❤️ Josh and Sam started Softies in 2022, and the team just celebrated their one year anniversary of their brick and mortar restaurant in USC Village. It is a huge milestone for the hardworking team, their presence and the way they carry themselves and their brand in the food and beverage industry have inspired so many others.✨ For this Mandarin x Softies collab, we wanted to serve something special that represents our culture, our backgrounds, and create the experience that excites both of our customers. With that being said, we will be serving two combos this Saturday: Combo A will be a Softies fish sando paired with Mandarin Sicily slushie 🍋‍🟩🍔 Combo B will be a dan dan fries with a whipped silken tofu sauce paired with a cold brew cherry cola 🍒🍟 Time: 10am to 2pm Location: Mandarin 2 / 3768 E Colorado Blvd Excited to serve you all!💛 taken in Pasadena, California by @softiesburger

How did we get to a year? This isn’t rhetorical, we really wonder how it happened, because we knew nothing on day one and know little more going on day 400 If we are to guess - we did it because of 1) a team that took every punch with a humble levity, 2) a community of family, friends, and other businesses who let you vent but never let you give up, and 3) a weird stubbornness to get up every day and keep hacking away at this thing. There is no secret other than showing up when most wouldn’t How will we get through year two? As we celebrate our one year anniversary this Saturday, here are some film photos to reflect on 365 days of this restaurant. No, they are not in IMAX 70mm. It makes us feel lots of things to look back at these. We remember the effort, the laughs, the stress, and even though certain moments weren’t great in isolation, in hindsight it’s all good See you for Anniversary Party August 8th!! 12-4pm 🤩 When we first opened we really struggled to learn our flow. Man we were so scared of 10 burgs on the line. Don’t worry we are much better now ! We have gone through maybe 10 iterations of this whiteboard. Now we use magnets cuz some of our handwriting is… mm… less than legible Teaching the boys what ktown is. We haven’t been back since. We’d always hear our front of house staff laughing and yapping and we’d be so curious what they’re talking about but couldn’t hear anything under the hood fans “damnit what should we be for Halloween it’s in two days” So many birthdays! So many candles blown and cakes cut. So many options at TJ and @cafedulcela Bring your kids to work day 😗 Shoot days with @goodobject.co that mainly started with, “today is a shoot day?” Post service king taco. The boys like sopes but we are more partial to putting eight red sauces on top of carne asada nachos. Uhhhhhhhh this is in a U-Haul and we don’t feel the need to explain why Our rock, with our other rock. Our culture starts with these two!! It’s always fun to hear brother and sister (playfully?) bicker on the line. Somewhere in Indio a burger brand called Softies grew up in the desert heat while listening to sombr at the outdoor stage. If you’ve been to Softies you’ve talked to Eddie and if you’ve talked to Eddie you absolutely love Eddie. Our hospitality engine The joy of hiring USC students is that they remind you every day how unsmart you are, and that unsmart is not actually a word. Advertising in lecture halls. They took these down so quickly. Chris “Topher” Lee who glues our whole team together. And he only shows up when it’s someone’s bday and there’s cake involved. Heading into year✌🏻.
