Massive thank you to @mcrarcadians for giving me the opportunity to get involved at today's scrim, and see what scorekeeping is like. It was very interesting and I learned an awful lot! I was not expecting to be given a certificate either, a lovely surprise! #rollerderby #rollerderbyscrimmage #rollerderbytraining #rollerderbyuk taken in University of Salford Sports Centre by @softpastelprince

Earlier on this year, I attended a quilt making workshop in Liverpool.

The aim was to create something personal, relatable, about my feelings with gender. I had so many ideas, but in the end, I didn't create something that embodied my idea/s at all. Not in the way I expected.

It's raw, rough cut, impulsively made. But, made with love and feeling. By the time I settled on how to assemble my pieces, I had less time than I would have liked to sew them neatly. But that's OK.

This will be getting added into a quilt with many, many, other beautiful and moving squares, lovingly assembled by the workshop facilitator - going on display later on this year.

Carefully cropped to avoid inclusion of other works. #quilting #sewing #queer #stitching #transjoy by @softpastelprince

And it's finished. I need to seam the handwarmer still, but I am very happy with how they look. That and the contrast going on here is so nice. I'm in love with striping wool. #knittingproject #knitting #knithandwarmers #knittingofinstagram #yarn by @softpastelprince

Second session with @mcrarcadians today for intake. The last time I practised crossovers was over eight years ago and I never really managed to grasp it. Think I'm getting somewhere this time, which I'm very, very pleased about. #rollerderby #rollerskating #rollerskate #skatingpractise by @softpastelprince
