I remember growing up and never feeling beautiful in my small town. The reality is the standard wasn’t me, it was something I’ll never ever be. Why was I taught to hate this face and this hair…when it is proof of thousands of years of people who loved each other and got to me… I can never be ashamed of the face that came before me that built me

Don’t get caught in the trap “I can live once I fix everything”…

Healing is a life long journey, not a step by step to do list that can be completed. Don’t hide yourself from life because you’re afraid of bad experiences, learn how to recognize them and strive for a different reality…the one you truly yearn for❤️‍🔥

I find that often when we are trying to implement change, we become very self critical and patronizing to ourselves it as if we treat the habit or where we are in life as a problem that needs to be eradicated versus a behavior that needs to shift. Recognizing that you deserve a little bit more out of life than what you’ve been giving yourself can be done from a place of love and care. The world is hard enough on you as it is. Don’t also be someone who i makes it harder for yourself. Shifting internal dialogue can be a big catalyst for change instead of shaming yourself and internalizing what you deemed the problem is.❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Instant gratification has almost all of us in a headlock 🥴 to build something, you need time. To make change, you need time, and not only time but you also need consistency. I used to not be able to do more than one push up and now I can do almost 10-15 at a time 🥹🙌🏾 KEEP GOING
