I remember growing up and never feeling beautiful in my small town. The reality is the standard wasn’t me, it was something I’ll never ever be. Why was I taught to hate this face and this hair…when it is proof of thousands of years of people who loved each other and got to me… I can never be ashamed of the face that came before me that built me

The good cannot exist without the bad. Barbra Howard from Abbott Elementary says “ Some people throw dirt on my name, others give it flowers. It’s all a garden to me.” and I just love that❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 even the tough stuff builds a beautiful and magical life ….

Don’t get caught in the trap “I can live once I fix everything”…

Healing is a life long journey, not a step by step to do list that can be completed. Don’t hide yourself from life because you’re afraid of bad experiences, learn how to recognize them and strive for a different reality…the one you truly yearn for❤️‍🔥

Instant gratification has almost all of us in a headlock 🥴 to build something, you need time. To make change, you need time, and not only time but you also need consistency. I used to not be able to do more than one push up and now I can do almost 10-15 at a time 🥹🙌🏾 KEEP GOING

Self devotion is the highest form self love…continuing to rob yourself of time that you deserve will only hold you back. Take some time 20-30 minutes to nurture and love yourself.
