YEAR 6

every year I harvest seeds from marigolds, sunflowers, cosmos, zinnias, throw them in a patch to see what kind of hybridized freaks show up, save any interesting and viable seeds I find. it looks like trash, there’s no irrigation, no bud pinching, no spacing, just tons of snake holes, grasshoppers having sex, praying mantis, bees getting fed. so hopefully they’re getting more resilient and weird by the season. by @softworldorder

!! 𝑭𝑶𝑹𝑨𝑮𝑬 𝑹𝑬𝑷𝑶𝑹𝑻 !! I predict 4 or 5 days until I start freaking out over harvesting and missing peak season windows :) the crystal ball is saying it’s a bad year for ticks yall. I’ve been criminally attacked by 5 so far. Nettles, garlic mustard, knotweed (knot pictured), r*mps, and our girl mugwort are loving their lives right now despite being a little behind the last few years’ timelines due to a very springy spring. I looked out at this hill and decided to climb it for every daffodil that had bloomed. I can’t even talk about forsythia it’s too beautiful to me. Also root beer on me all summer, sassafras I love you. For the love of god, go play outside!!!!!!!! by @softworldorder

it’s spring now and everyone and everyplant is so happy but I’m here to share my love for winter

when else do we have the time to make fires inside and create then abandon marzipan sculpting projects and do sweater maintenance and start seeds “ahead of time” and literally fiddle with sticks I even convinced myself to like this song that used to mean a lot to me again, I will really miss u winter thanks for all the slowness by @softworldorder
