its been my pleasure meeting so many of you and hope to meet those of you following along soon ❤️ thought it might be time for a (re)introduction:
• my name is regan, pronounced with a long ‘ee’, enneagram 4 with a 5 wing ✨ maiden name hoerster, married name zubak
• i was a gymnast growing up, on my high school dance team, and danced a little in college
• i met my husband scott in 8th grade, and he’s always been a sweet and sexy babe
• i double majored in women’s studies and sociology at the university of iowa and went to UIC jane addams for my masters in social work
• i dropped out after my first year to train and get certified in classical pilates and opened @villagepilatesstudio when i was 25
• my dad passed away a year before that from a sudden heart attack, thats when i first started pursuing pilates to help me heal and to give myself something healthy to focus on
• my mom is one of my favorite people and greatest supporters, and i get to see her at least twice a week when she watches my kids
•i have three little kids/ mack 10, zoie 7, inez 4. i had all home births, am kind of a free range parent, but like to smother them in love 🥰
• i created sol after zoie was born, 3 months post partum, to get my mojo back and strengthen my body and soul
• opened SOLARIUM OAK PARK right before covid and was pregnant with my little Inez. that was a very tough and triumphant period in my life.
• my family moved to Elmhurst, our hometown, after living in Oak Park for over 20 years
• i found the SOLARIUM ELMHURST location just a couple months after moving into our new home, and after months + months of renovations, opened in December 2024
• i love what i do with every shred of me, so i never work a day in my life… that was my dad’s motto ❤️ taken in Solarium by @sol_arium_

i created sol specifically to help me through post partum… 8 years ago. as a mother of three, wife, and fiercely independent woman i continue to understand the value of having a space to feel and transmute rage and sadness, and being seen, through my own eyes, my own body, listening and moving to resonating music, and doing it alongside other women, witnessing each other. and i think its precisely that, the power of our pain being allowed, felt, witnessed. i wish we all had access to that support. by @sol_arium_
