There’s something bittersweet about leaving a place that has become a part of who you are.

Baltimore, you’ve given me more than I ever could have imagined…

When I look back on my time here, it’s you all that made it so special. The friendships that started on yoga mats, the strangers that became family, and the conversations after class that remind me why I started teaching yoga in the first place.

From teaching yoga and growing alongside a community that inspired me to keep going, thank you for getting me through my most pivotal years yet. You all are my greatest teachers.

To the love around my @lululemon ambassadorship, retreats, events and crazy ideas, thank YOU for showing up, believing in this path together, and making this chapter so meaningful.

Yoga has taken me around the world, but it’s also taught me that some of the most important practices happen right at home.

I’ve been thinking a lot about “invisible yoga” the moments that aren’t always seen. The willingness to sit with uncertainty. The decision to trust yourself when you don’t have the answers. The decision to keep choosing joy regardless of circumstance.

And that’s exactly what I’m carrying into this next chapter.

I’m about to solo-drive 3,500 miles cross-country and my way back to my roots in California in a van. I’ve gotten so many questions about if I’ll be teaching on the west coast, my career, the van, etc.

I just gave away almost everything I own and moved into a van the day before flying out of country. The plan is to trust and leave room for the magic, and keep trusting my path.

Truthfully, I am terrified. I don’t know what comes next, where I’ll be in six months, or even two. But I know I’ve made it through every chapter before this one, and this call to move west is bigger than me.

Baltimore, thank you for being a home I got to build and a chapter I’ll carry with me wherever I go. To everyone who has been part of this journey, you’re coming with me in all the ways that matter. This truly wouldn’t be possible without the community here🤍

Cheers to the unknown, and remembering the most important yoga happens after we roll up our mats.

Crazy that this 1 hour away from Baltimore…

🥾HIKE DETAILS⬇️
📍Harpers Ferry, WV
🗺️ Maryland Heights
📏 4.5 miles
🏔️ 1082 mi elevation gain
🐶 dog friendly trail, and many restaurants in town are dog friendly

🥾KNOW BEFORE YOU GO⬇️

Harpers Ferry is a STEEP hike. It is accessible by bridge, and parking is limited since this land is owned by @harpersferrynps . Come EARLY on a weekend to snag one of the few parking spots at the lower lot, or take the free shuttle from their larger lot🚌 **dogs are not allowed on the shuttle

I have been loving my weighted ruck pack from @wildgymco to make every hike a little more challenging 💪

I loved going to @battlegroundscoffee for iced matcha and lemonade pre-hike🧋and @harpersferrybrewing for the best pizza and views post-hike 🍕

This hike is well worth the amazing views at the top, historic town vibes, and cute little mom & pop stores for when you’re ready for food and shopping after!🥪🛍️

Movement, community, and a great cause.

We loved being part of @theshopsatkenilworth’s annual Rooftop Yoga this past Sunday! From flowing with Sidney Nelson (@solar.flows) to seeing you at our Rehydration Station and enjoying delicious breakfast bites, it was such a great morning.

My sister told me about Jekyll Island a few years ago, and I’ve made a point to stop here for a night ever since whenever I’m passing through.

This time I only had 12 hours, and it wasn’t enough. Already planning an extended stay.

Next trip has to include the historic cottages and the loggerhead research center.
