We’ll be at the Irish AeroPress Championships in Cork this Friday, and we’re so grateful to Badger & Dodo for welcoming us. 🍵

It’s a lovely evening of brewing, music, food and good company, and the winner goes on to represent Ireland in Mexico City. We’ll be pouring three teas through the night, two made in collaboration with Oatly, and we’d love for you to come along and share a cup with us. @oatly

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend Jörg Müller of Solaris Tea.

Aniar and Solaris have worked together since 2014. Over those years, Jörg became part of the life of the restaurant, and our collaboration became part of the food we shared with our guests.

Together, we developed a tea blend for Aniar, which we also used to make a sorbet. That collaboration is a memory I will treasure: bringing our work together on wild food to create something that found its place at the table.

Running a restaurant for 15 years brings you into contact with people whose work becomes woven into your own. You serve something they have helped to create, and their contribution becomes part of the experience of eating with you.

For us, Jörg will always have a place in the story of Aniar and its development of the evolution of Irish food and drink.

We are grateful for the years of working together and for his friendship. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends and everyone at Solaris at this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Jörg.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our co-founder, Jörg Müller, following a short illness.

Jörg passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by his loving family.

Together with his wife Karin, Jörg co-founded Solaris Tea, the Galway-based family business dedicated to organic teas and herbal infusions. Their shared vision and commitment helped establish Solaris Tea and shape the business it is today.

Beyond his contribution to the business, Jörg was a beloved husband to Karin and a devoted father to their two children, Aoife and Ruben.

His passing is a tremendous loss to his family, friends and the wider Solaris Tea community.

Jörg will be deeply missed by his wife Karin, daughter Aoife, son Ruben, parents Erich and Zora, sister Petra, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements

Jörg will repose at Brigit’s Garden, Pollagh, Rosscahill, Co. Galway (H91 CC90), on Friday, 9th October, from 5.30pm, followed by a celebration of his life at 7pm.

A cremation service will take place at Shannon Crematorium, Co. Clare (V14 PV30), on Saturday, 10th October, at 2pm.

For those unable to attend, the cremation service will be available via livestream at www.shannoncrematorium.com.

The Müller family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the kindness, compassion and support shown to them during this very difficult time.
