🍂🍁 Aspecial day retreat to nourish the heart happened last Saturday. A gorgeous alchemy when we join together in curiosity and kindness🍂🍁

I was truly supported in facilitating this day in so many ways.

🌞 The glorious sunshine bringing warmth to our bodies and illuminatng the dappled golden light in the forest. the endless blue sky supporting our awareness of being part of something vast and amazing.

💕 The gathering together of beautiful women, some were strangers some not. They were all full of respect and kindness as they softened into the day. Insights to our common shared humanity between us all, our vulnerablity and our strength all emerged.

🏡 The venue of the Sanctuary, ample space to share connection over a cup of cacao, or delicous lunch or enjoy a grounding spacious meditation, bathing in the woods nearby, or to sit in quiet in the contemplation room or to wander in the sensory garden.

🌳 🍂 🍁 The forest and the pure wisdom of nature. It's richness, Autumn colours, dampness, sunlight, the thinnest of spiders delicate webs, our senses were truly awakened.

😋 Delicious food prepared for by Emer and presented so beautifully and enjoyed in silence to truly savour the tastes and textures of our meal.

🫖 Solaris herbal teas and we held a candle lighting in honour and remembering Jorg, the Co founder, of this wonderful tea company who so sadly died recently. May he rest in gentle peace.

Thank you to all who attended. I do hope the ripple effect of your day continues to ripple and radiate into your worlds.

Next retreat is for wintering, on January 23rd, 2027 for more of the same goodness.

MESSAGE IN THE CUP
Interpreting messages from tea leafs?
Absolutely—why not?
Tea lovers will respond to this quite calmly.
After all, tea, just like coffee, is drunk all over the world.
In some European countries, such as the United Kingdom, it’s even significantly preferred over coffee, and people love to drink it all day long.

In Asia, tea has been a natural and inseparable part of the culture of living and enjoyment for millennia. And so the mystique of tea leaf reading developed thousands of years ago in Asia - specifically in China.

Give it a try. Its fun! ☺️🙃
We’ve picked out a few books for you.

And good to know:
Since our tea is made from whole tea leaves, you can use it for tea leave reading.

Grateful to the wonderful companies that were so generous to us, allowing us to spoil our Lún ladies.

@solaristea - not only did Solaris give us a sample for each lady, they also stocked our kitchens. We enjoyed the tea along with lots of chats well into the night.

@nibbed_cacao A sample portion for each of our goody bags, and also a generous large bag that was enjoyed by all over the weekend (watch out for a little snippet of Ruth lovingly making the cacoa)

@padmayogalaney Elaine gifted everyone a little cute bracelet. Made with love - we are grateful for you Elaine ♥️

@ardu.reformer.pilates The softest, comfiest Yoga/Pilates socks. Everyone commented on how comfortable these socks were. Thank you @claudiaescobaryoga ♥️

@biomel.life What a treat ! 2 bars from Biomel - delicious and good for your gut ♥️

@rocahealthcare - Sylliflor samples to help with digestion. Thank you ♥️

@awaywithnature_ie it's that time of the year - chapped lips are starting to become a problem....... Not for us at Lún......thank you Fiona ♥️

@solaristea Stocking our communal kitchens ♥️

@follainirishpreserves
Stocked our kitchens and gave everyone a sample pot - your generosity @follainirishpreserves is greatly appreciated. We added 'spoonfuls' to granola and covered our toast in delicious jams and curds ♥️

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Jörg Müller. 🕯️ Jörg was a great supporter of the Women's Shed. The foraging skills and botanical knowledge he shared with us will continue to be a wonderful source of inspiration.
Thank you for the memories, Jörg. RIP 🤍

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend Jörg Müller of Solaris Tea.

Aniar and Solaris have worked together since 2014. Over those years, Jörg became part of the life of the restaurant, and our collaboration became part of the food we shared with our guests.

Together, we developed a tea blend for Aniar, which we also used to make a sorbet. That collaboration is a memory I will treasure: bringing our work together on wild food to create something that found its place at the table.

Running a restaurant for 15 years brings you into contact with people whose work becomes woven into your own. You serve something they have helped to create, and their contribution becomes part of the experience of eating with you.

For us, Jörg will always have a place in the story of Aniar and its development of the evolution of Irish food and drink.

We are grateful for the years of working together and for his friendship. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends and everyone at Solaris at this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Jörg.

From all of us at Aniar, thank you.

Jp.
