One of the biggest takeaways? Add rhythm to your delivery.

Think about your favourite song. What keeps you hooked? The rhythm, the changes in pace, the pauses.

3 things I shared in my talk that can help you grow:

1. Faith comes by hearing — Romans 10:17. Be intentional about what you listen to. Feed your mind with God’s Word, not just the noise around you.
2. Guard your mindset — Be mindful of the thoughts you entertain. Challenge negative thinking and align your mind with what God says about you.
3. Be consistent with your habits — You won’t change your life overnight. Small, intentional actions repeated daily will take you further than occasional bursts of motivation.

Have you ever been so nervous about speaking that you forget to enjoy the moment itself?

This year, I’ve had the privilege of being a best man several times, a groomsman, an impromptu MC and giving engagement toasts for some of my closest friends.

There’s something special about standing in front of a room full of people to celebrate someone you’ve known for 20 years. It’s an honour, but it can also be daunting when all eyes are on you and you want to do the moment justice.

I’ve had moments when I haven’t felt fully prepared, and it’s reminded me just how important it is to be able to communicate when it matters most.

Because these moments don’t come around often. You don’t want the fear of speaking to take away from the memories you’re there to make.

Don’t let the moment you should be enjoying become the moment you’re worrying about.

Yesterday, I was honoured to MC my brother @sayo.fso wedding. 🎤

MCing is actually where my speaking journey started.

Genesis 4:7 - “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

God warned Cain before his anger became sin.

Cain was angry because God accepted Abel’s offering and not his. God showed him that sin was already waiting at the door, trying to take control of him.

Cain didn’t realise where that anger would eventually lead. He allowed it to take root, and eventually his anger led him to kill his brother Abel.

That’s the danger of sin. It can start with something small, but when you keep feeding it, it grows. Sin takes advantage of your appetites, emotions and desires.

Don’t wait until sin controls you. Cut it off at the root. by @solbamideleofficial
