Humanitas explores the intersection of human invention, natural history and material desire. Drawing on Victorian parlor domes and traditions of collecting, three totemic sculptures bring discarded electronics, everyday objects and natural specimens into unexpected proximity.

Suspended within forms that resemble storage boxes, these fragments become contemporary relics, reflecting our impulse to collect and store. Gold gilding elevates the discarded, transforming remnants of consumption into objects of value, while confronting the consequences of what we create and leave behind.

Materials: biodegradable resin, discarded and found objects, natural specimens, electronics, gold foil.

Dimensions: 84 × 28 × 14 cm each

Happy Birthday, mine, as it happens! Another dance around the sun and still no sign of becoming predictable.

So, naturally, I got myself a new studio.

Airier, brighter, currently suspiciously clean and waiting for trouble. Farewell photos from the old one before I start making a mess somewhere new.

Visiting hours: deeply unprofessional. Drop by whenever. Coffee, wine, mate, or whatever gets you through the door. Stay for a chat. Leave with paint on your clothes.

Very grateful for the people who make this crazy dance worthwhile, most of all my children and husband, our lab Luna. Very curious about what comes next, onwards, preferably without a map: more making, more dancing, more mischief!

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲, loud and clear, to our middle speedy! Laughing (screaming) at the top of your lungs in that first photo, still bringing that same energy!

Whether in the water, on the track, or racing through life, you’ve always kept us on our toes lovingly. Sharp, witty, endlessly kind, a brother with the warmest heart. A few random snapshots from the years gone by, a reminder of how lucky we’ve been to see you grow, to have you in our lives.

This post took me a few days to write…too emotional…first time birthday not celebrated together, but knowing you’re out there exploring, making your own memories, is exactly what we hoped for all along!
