For Throwback Thursday I’m bringing it back to this beauty I made last year which took over 15 hours to make.

Several years ago when I was struggling in the depths of motherhood I decided to take up a hobby that would be “just for me”. A little sanctuary away from the chaos of my day to day life. I couldn’t pick a more fitting song to represent the theme of “self love” than Flowers by @mileycyrus 🌼 Rediscovering independence, passion and confidence through art has been one of the best gifts life has given back to me.

What sparks joy, confidence, passion, self love or healing in your life? Leave a comment and let me know! I’d love to hear from you 💖

Fiber from @lotsofknotscanada and @unfetteredsupply

These little babies are going to be up for grabs in my next sale! 🪴

They are meant for a car mirror but can be used anywhere! Best part?? They have ring that can open and close for easy hanging.

Oh and did I mention the faux plant is included? 🥰

It’s been almost 1 year since my last post and so much has happened…

▫️new job
▫️new school
▫️sold our house
▫️bought a new house
▫️& moved!

All while parenting two young kids.

To say my husband and I were tired from all the change is an understatement 🤣

Anyone who knows me knows that I struggle to do things “halfway” and if I commit to a goal I need to be able to put in 100% to be satisfied. So with all the chaos and change, I made the hard but responsible decision to slow down my business and focus on my family.

The dust has now settled and life has a funny way of landing you in exactly the right spot. 💫 Despite the competitive nature of the market in our area, by some miracle we landed in the best neighbourhood, with the best neighbours and I’ve landed an amazing job with an amazing company. Should someone pinch me? I think so.

And with that I’m happy to announce that @soleil_macrame is BACK BABY! ☀️ I’ll be opening a sale soon to help clear inventory and will be taking a select number of custom orders per month.

Stay tuned for more to come… and thank you to all who’ve continued to support my little business. 🥰

Weaving has become therapy for me. 🌊

Macrame is still my first love, but something about the freedom and texture of weaving really feels *right* for me during this moment of my life. 💫

Art has always been an escape. I am anxious by nature, but whenever I am emersed in art (of any kind) my mind is free to rest. The worries & pressures of everyday life just melt away.

I’m grateful to be able to create art - both for myself and others. When I started this journey 2 years ago I needed something to help me cope with everyday life. Naturally, this business has shifted through time, but what remains is the immense blessing of my artful meditation. ♥️

What helps you cope with stress in your day to day life? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you and learn more about you!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Thought I’d post these pretty earrings today since it’s sunny ☀️ and bright outside ☁️ and I’m thinking ahead to spring! 🌷🌷 For as long as I can remember pretty little trinkets have brought me joy. When I was young it could have been a shell, crystal or birds feather - I always loved collecting little treasures. Though I’m much older, even today pretty little things make me happy. How about you? What brings you joy?

A good book? 📖
A hot cup of coffee? ☕️
Talking a long walk by yourself? 🌅

Let me know in the comments. What lifts your spirit and makes you feel great?

I’m showing this piece again because I’m super proud of how it came together. It was a complex process … but finishing a piece like this is so rewarding.

My son received this spider plant 🕷🪴 as a gift, and I decided to make him a plant hanger for it.

This plant hanger is an excellent design for beginners. It only uses 2 knots - clove hitch and gathering knot.

Would you like to see more reels with simple knot tutorials? Let me know in the comments!
