Happy Birthday to my grandmother 🤍
A day late, but never late in my heart.

Before I ever stood on a stage, I watched you sing in church…. So strong, soulful, and full of spirit. Your voice sounded like faith itself. I saw that same strength when you sang alone at auntie Geek funeral… and I knew then where my power came from.

You raised me. You raised us. After raising 11 children, you still poured love, prayer, and care into your grandchildren. You stepped in when you didn’t have to and gave us everything we needed and more.

I am because you are.
Thank you for the music, the love, and the foundation. To my last living grandparent Happy Birthday Grammy 🫶🏾💜🌹 by @soleilthesinger

Today marks three months without you… three months without hearing your voice, three months without seeing your smile and three months without being in your presence. I know you’re in a better place but my heart is really broken….It’s so bitter sweet not having you here! Knowing you won’t live to see us prosper but also knowing you are in the arms of abraham as you would say.

I remember this day…. She had just graduated from Loyola University with her nursing degree and a future as bright as her smile!
I just will never understand why bad things happen to good people 😭😭😭 I’m really having one of those mornings. I miss my Pie so much! Uggghhhhh God help me 😭😭😩🙏🏾 by @soleilthesinger
