#UpliftOnTheFifth - As the year comes to a close and a new one begins, many of us find ourselves immersed in the art of list-making. We create lists of gifts to receive, gifts to give, and goals we hope to achieve before or during the upcoming year. This season becomes a time of planning and searching—whether it’s hunting for the perfect gifts, seeking out the best deals, or finding the motivation to pursue our aspirations.

In this process, we refine our efforts to ensure we achieve the results we’re seeking. However, Matthew 6:33 reminds us of a higher priority: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” This verse shifts our focus, reminding us that the greatest fulfillment comes from seeking God first.

In this season, let us be intentional about what we seek. Let’s ask God for a transformation in our desires—aligning our seek, our hope, and our faith with His purpose. As we do, we will discover that blessings we never thought to include on our lists will be graciously added to our lives.

GM everyone!
Here’s our #UpliftOnTheFifth for this month!

Often times in life, we have heard the phrase “ If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. “ We take the time to arrange, prepare, and carry out our plans which are normal things to do. Planning gives us a sense of control. It helps us to feel like we’ve done all we can to prepare for an expected outcome. However, this message is not about planning, nor is it to encourage you to create a to do list. This message is to encourage you when you are “Blindsided by the Unexpected”.
Recently, my car was damaged when a large piece of wood with metal spikes sticking out of it caused damage to my front passenger fog light and bumper. Two days later, a truck side swiped my husband on the interstate and kept going. I am grateful that my husband was not injured. But, now we have 2 cars that need to be repaired, both cars are paid for (praise God), and we only have liability insurance. Hello unexpected.
I have to be honest. I began to get frustrated and a bit upset. Lord, why is this happening. Lord, you know we just had to do repairs on both cars.. Now, we have to put more money into these vehicles? Hello unexpected. (Continued in comments)
