💫 Cosmic Roots: Afrofuturism Hair & Fashion Show 💫

This immersive experience includes visionary runway presentations by @houseofblvckice, @thehouseofnahdra, and @solfullseams. The evening will also feature live dance choreographed by @tarikhcampbell, music by @salyseofficial, and a high-energy party atmosphere rooted in Black creativity, ancestry, and futurist imagination.

Cosmic Roots is not just a fashion show, it’s a full-on Afrofuturist celebration featuring a runway show from three extraordinary designers including: @houseofblvckice, @thehouseofnahdra, and, featured here, @solfullseams.

Sol Full Seams designs combine sustainability with style. The design team strives to find creative ways to use textile waste in each one of a kind garment. Sol Full Seams crafts with intention ensuring each detail is in the designers vision. The collection that will be shown is called Denim Dreams and is inspired by the beauty in imperfection.

Look 8: The Upside Down vest

This look features a pair of jeans refashioned into a vest featuring an exaggerated hood.

Look 9: The Infinity In Black Halter

This look reminds us that not all things are what they seem. The infinity halter top was fashioned from a pair of preloved leggings and reimagined as a backless Infinity top. Styled here with embroidered wide leg jeans.

Look 10: The Acosmis Wrap and Navy Napea Pack

The Acosmis Wrap is an Intricate tapestry of Denim scraps woven together to create this skirt. This look brings attention to the discarded showing that no scrap is ever at the end of its journey. The Navy Napea bag carries this sentiment as it is lined and embellished using scrap materials. This bag features Intricate embroidery throughout as well as elements of patchwork. Styled here with an asymmetrical black top.

Look 11: The VaJeana Wrap and Infinity in Grey top

The VaJeana Wrap skirt was created to embolden the devine feminiene of the wearer. Bringing light to the portal from which we all emerged. This skirt features intricate denim patchwork that brings this concept to life. styled with a the Infinity in Grey top tied in a mock turtle neck style.

Look 12: The Heart Stopper maxi and the Meraki Corset

The closing look of my collection was created from recycled materials. The Heart Stopper features lace up details on both hips with a repurposed waist band and denim patchworking throughout. The Meraki Corset is reversible using preloved denim and a table coth to create something new and unique.
