We are thrilled to welcome Dylan Bolger (@dmb_mk2), proud Maiawali, Karuwali, Pitta-Pitta and Gomeroi artist, to the Solid Lines roster!

Bold in his experimentation and influenced by his background in architecture, Dylan works across a variety of mediums and techniques to create exceptionally detailed artworks.

Part of his ongoing mission is to recolonise Australia through art. In discussing what inspires his artwork Dylan says, “I think it comes back to how I grew up. Thinking about being a First Nations person, growing up in urban Australia and understanding where do I belong and how do I fit in? Looking at the places around me and not recognising myself culturally…The reason why I like to do public art is I like being able to have that little piece of that First Nations culture that I can visibly see, that’s part of my identity in everyday spaces.”

A closer look back at @jeswri and Coree Thorpe’s (@lucid_juncture) mural for Olivine Skate park, completed in partnership with @mirvac_group!

Combining Coree’s cultural storytelling designs and creative direction with JESWRI’s street art and graffiti background, the artists collaborated to create an artwork inspired by a shared sense of fun, community, and cultural pride. At its heart, the piece honours the Wurundjeri totems of Bunjil (the Ancestral Wedge-tailed Eagle, the creator) and Waa (the Ancestral Crow, the protector).

The finished work invites a joyful and respectful engagement with the land and its stories, inviting people to come together through culture, creativity and play to celebrate and care for Country in new and meaningful ways. by @solidlines.agency

From the Dhungala to the Birrarung: Water is Life 🐟 In collaboration with @nowornever.melb, ENOKi (@grumpyenoki) transformed Flinders Street Station and Melbourne Town Hall into living waterways, with two large-scale projections lighting up the city landmarks.

Featuring aquatic and semi-aquatic species from the Dhungala (Murray River) and the Birrarung (Yarra River), ENOKi’s artwork honours the waterways that have sustained First Nations people for millennia and acknowledges the enduring cultural significance of these rivers as places of fishing, travel, trade and storytelling.

Spotlight on this larger than life Rihanna portrait and mural by @jeswri! 💋🔥

This was a direct project by JESWRI with Fenty Beauty and Myer Melbourne, installed for the recent opening of Fenty Beauty Lane at its CBD store. Says JESWRI, “I was asked to bring my authentic, unapologetic graffiti to the drawing board...Was an honour knowing that Rihanna personally, hand selected my artwork for this wall and lent her creative to this project”.

A selection of works from Tyrown Waigana’s (@crawlincrocodile) incredible solo exhibition, Walking Snake, on now at @mossensongalleries in Perth.

Walking Snake explores the unrealistic and ever-shifting expectations often placed on First Nations people in Australia. Reflecting on the pressure to be exceptional in order to be accepted, the exhibition offers a thought provoking commentary on identity, representation and belonging.

Exhibition runs until 5 September - see full details via @mossensongalleries 🐍 by @solidlines.agency

@grumpyenoki collaborated with @blakandbright Writers Festival to create the hero artwork and visual assets for this year’s event, inspired by the 2026 theme EVERY:WHEN which honours time as continuous and relational.

In their artist statement, ENOKi shares: “My inspiration behind the art for EVERY:WHEN was wanting to capture how time and place can tell a story...EVERY:WHEN takes place during tadpole season, or Poorneet in the language of the Wurundjeri people. During Poorneet, snow melts from the mountains and pours into the rivers and floodplains. Flowers come into bloom, the most iconic of which is the Murnong Daisy. During this time, you can hear the calls of the Pied Currawong and the croaks of the frogs as they lay their spawn. I wanted to capture all the changes moving through Country, from water and soil, to the treetops and sky.”

Special delivery: @janelleburger’s pattern work applied to a baby cot as part of @bold_baby_co’s Art Series!

Janelle is the first artist in Bold Baby’s Art Series, and says, “I loved the idea that my work could become part of a baby’s earliest environment. A baby’s daily backdrop. A mini gallery for one! My illustration draws from my connection to Australia, nature, and a feeling of home. Living in Paris, that connection feels deeper than ever, and I wanted families to feel that warmth and care when they look at it.”
