Karenna, thank you for everything. This really is a celebration of your life more than anything. Thank you for being in my life and thank you for inspiring me every day I knew you. No words can do justice to how brilliant, ambitious, tenacious, kind and impressive you were…at literally everything. It was so refreshing to see someone so talented, exceptional and accomplished be so humble and down to earth. You were the epitome of goodness and grace, and made all the million things you did look so natch and effortless. You made everyone around you better and you made everyone want to be better.

What I most fondly remember is your work to make sure people could get masks and be safe in COVID

You changed my life. Knowing you and having you as one of my besties is truly one of the greatest privileges and honors of my life. I’ve truly lost a piece of my heart that can never be replaced. You will always mean the world to me, and I’ll always be your superfan who loves you, friend! I wish I could give you one more hug, tell you one more word of affirmation, or go back and forth insulting each other one more time. Now I miss you butchering my full name lol. Looking back, I am grateful that you got to receive a lot of your flowers while you were here and that you knew how loved and cherished you are by everyone. But it’s a lot more than that. I will always be thinking of you and please know you have an army of people you touched that will make sure your legacy grows stronger. And I’m proud to be in that army. Even, now as I cry writing this.

You were my favorite person I met through MIT and will always be. Everything about you was extraordinary. We’ll never see a force like you ever again. You were just everything. Thank you for being there for me, encouraging me to share more and for accepting me. Thank you for bringing so much light, love and kindness to literally everyone. Seeing you happy was the greatest joy. I know how much you loved James and I’m glad you can be together forever. You deserved all the good things that came to you and more, and you deserve to be happy and at peace forever. I miss you, I will love you always and I will forever be #TeamKGroff12 by @solsticefayemz
