While Adam Sandler has made dozens of movies over the years, there’s one person who has been part of almost all of them his wife, Jackie Sandler.

The two met in the late 1990s and later worked together on Big Daddy (1999), where Jackie had a small role. They married in 2003, and Jackie has since appeared in numerous Sandler films, often in small cameo roles.

One of her most memorable roles, however, came in Hotel Transylvania, where she voiced Martha, Dracula’s late wife and Mavis’ mother. The role gave Jackie considerably more to do than her usual cameos, with Martha appearing throughout the story and through flashbacks and memories in the franchise.

Their daughters, Sadie and Sunny, have also appeared in many of Adam’s movies, including Grown Ups, Blended, Murder Mystery and Hubie Halloween. What started as Jackie simply appearing in Adam’s movies eventually became a family tradition, with the Sandlers turning many of Adam’s productions into their own little family reunions on screen. by @solstices

some friendships in music never turn into a song & that might be the point. billie eilish & daniel caesar have never released a track together, but the respect keeps showing up in small places

at coachella 2022 billie was headlining the whole festival & fans still caught her in the crowd for daniel’s set, just singing along like anyone else. in 2024 she turned up on his instagram story. after the 2025 grammys he was reported to have said hit me hard and soft deserved album of the year, a public take most artists keep to themselves

it makes sense. both write quiet songs that hit loud, both care more about feeling than flexing & both got huge without changing how they sound. maybe the collab never comes. the mutual respect already says enough.

batman’s love life reads like a list of people he couldn’t keep. julie madison came first in 1939, a socialite engaged to bruce wayne who never really met batman. vicki vale arrived in 1948, a photographer who kept trying to prove they were the same man. rachel dawes, made for the films, waited for a version of bruce who never came home

then there are the ones who knew. talia al ghul loved him & still chose her father’s war. silver st. cloud worked out who he was in 1977 & walked away because she couldn’t watch him die

selina kyle stayed closest. a thief since batman #1 in 1940, she got the proposal in 2017 & left him at the altar a year later, because a happy batman stops being batman. maybe that’s the whole story. the mask was always the one he loved most.

It became a global phenomenon thanks to its simple swipe-based controls, fast-paced gameplay, endless-running format, and addictive challenge. hachiko, the dog that waited 9 years at a train station for his owner who had passed away

in 1924, hachiko, an akita inu, would walk with his owner, professor hidesaburo ueno, to shibuya station in tokyo every morning, as ueno left for work. and each evening, hachiko would return to the station to wait for him to come home.

but in may 1925, professor ueno passed away suddenly while at work and never returned.

hachiko was taken in by another family, but he continued going to shibuya station every day, waiting for his owner to return. he did this every day for 9 years and 9 months, until he passed away in 1935.

by then, the story of hachiko’s loyalty had become known throughout japan, and a statue was unveiled at shibuya station in 1934, while hachiko was still alive. in 2015, another statue was unveiled, this time showing hachiko being reuinted with professor ueno.

hachiko was buried beside ueno’s grave in aoyama cemetery.
