In 2016, a student named Hajar Benjida began a school project where she placed images of Young Thug alongside classical artworks.

What started as a simple Instagram account called @youngthugaspaintings quickly gained international attention. By 2018, the project had reached Art Basel Miami, where Benjida presented an exhibition at SCOPE Art Fair in collaboration with Young Thug himself.

The concept connected two completely different worlds, showing how modern hip-hop photography could mirror centuries-old paintings through similar poses, expressions and compositions. Since then, the format has become a familiar part of visual culture, inspiring countless comparisons across music, fashion and film.

Benjida later turned that creativity into a career, photographing major figures in hip-hop and developing Atlanta Made Us Famous, a documentary project about the women of Atlanta’s Magic City. She went on to appear on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Europe list, with her work eventually reaching museums and exhibitions around the world.

Adam Sandler has been putting his wife in his movies for years, and you might not have even noticed. Jackie Sandler appeared as a waitress in Big Daddy (1999), the film where the two met, and after getting married in 2003, they kept finding ways to work together.

she’s since appeared in films like 50 First Dates, Grown Ups and Just Go with It, usually in smaller roles that are easy to miss. she also voiced Martha, Dracula’s late wife and Mavis’ mother, in Hotel Transylvania, meaning even his animated family had a connection to his real one.

their daughters, Sadie and Sunny, have joined in too, appearing in several of his movies over the years. at this point, watching an Adam Sandler movie also means there’s a pretty good chance you’re watching the rest of the family somewhere in the background.

Trail cameras capture a side of wildlife we rarely get to see. Triggered by movement and heat detection, they record animals passing through forests, climbing mountains, visiting watering holes or exploring remote terrain. Left in place for weeks or months, they can capture moments that a person with a camera might never witness.

Setting them up in different habitats helps researchers understand which species live there, when they’re active and how they use their surroundings. The footage can reveal elusive animals, document feeding and mating behaviour, and help guide conservation efforts, all while keeping human presence to a minimum.

The inspiration of Darth Maul was driven by George Lucas asking lain McCaig to base him on his worst nightmare.

lain McCaig specifically transformed his childhood fear of clowns, particularly Bozo the Clown, into a Rorschach pattern aesthetic, using inkblot inspired markings mapped onto natural facial musculature. Here he would often use his own face as a reference. Maul’s iconic horns evolved from early feather based concepts, which would eventually give him that demonic appearance. Whilst his costume combined samurai like pleated robes designed for agile stunt work with the flowing look of a 1940s Tibetan lama’s cloak.

The PS Vita launched worldwide in 2012 as Sony’s successor to the PSP. Unlike the PSP’s single analog stick, it had dual sticks like a standard controller, plus a touch screen and impressive graphics for its time. It could play its own games, PSP titles, and PS1 classics.
There were two versions. The original 1000 model had a 5 inch OLED screen, a heavier build with premium parts, and needed a separate memory card. The 2000 slim model swapped in a 5 inch LCD screen, was 20% thinner and 15% lighter, and came with 1GB of built in storage.

The Vita never matched the PSP’s success, but it kept a loyal fanbase, selling around 10 to 16 million units before production ended in 2019.

George Lucas asked concept artist Iain McCaig to design Darth Maul based on his worst nightmare. McCaig turned his childhood fear of clowns, especially Bozo, into inkblot style face markings that followed the muscles of the face, often using his own face as a model. Maul’s horns grew out of early feather ideas and gave him a demonic look, while his costume blended samurai style pleated robes built for stunts with the flowing cloak of a 1940s Tibetan lama.

There’s something familiar about the way Snoopy falls in love. He thinks about her over a meal, brings her flowers, and shares an evening of dinner and dancing. Even a shower becomes a moment to sing.

These scenes capture the small ways affection finds its way into everyday life. Someone begins occupying your thoughts, and suddenly the ordinary parts of your day feel a little different. You imagine seeing them again. You find reasons to make them smile.

The first two frames show them thinking about each other while they’re apart. It’s a simple detail, but perhaps the sweetest part of the carousel—the person on your mind has you on theirs, too.

With barely any words, a few cartoon frames capture a feeling many of us know: the quiet excitement of having someone to think about, and hoping they’re thinking about you.
