Tyler Barnick is as OG as it gets for SoCal drift! 25 years+. He bought his first 240 in 2001 and SR swapped it in 2003, no YouTube videos for guidance back then. All our information was on forums and what we would find on AOL lol. Tyler and his brother even swapped a sr20 into a 2000s Nissan frontier that his brother still drifts. Since then Tyler’s had multiple 240s some lost to time, some casualties of war (ditches). He has drifted in OG All star bash, drove from SoCal to Final Bout 1 in Wisconsin and many others. He was a part of the OG Thursdays at Adam’s drift. He is the founder of OUTSLIDERS and has a garage packed with some cool shit.. You can catch him hanging with Dom, illa and the crew! 1: Grey S13 driver, i can't read the lettering on the door but look how cool that giant D1 banner is!
2: i miss the era where competition cars could have easily still been street cars
3: unknown lead car, but @nomuken_0519 in the @blitz_japan_official ER34 sedan. This was a fairly new styling for the iconic sedan!
4: there was chain link fence everywhere so most of my photos all have interference

UMKAYSO since im feeling nostalgic, and a bit salty about not being at @finalbout so i'm digging in the archives. These are from @d1gp_official held in Miami USA May 29, 2009. I'll make a second post with the few action shots i got. Was anyone else there that same day?

I'll try to comment in order:
1: My s13.4 on RPF1 next to a clean z33 on RPF1
2: Veilside Fortune Z33. Very crazy to see such a done up car IRL
3: Clean IS300. Basic, clean, good. IS300 was not a cheap car then, no fuccboi activities, even tho it did have WAKABA!
4: Another clean Z33, this one with INGS+1 aero and cool mirrors!
5: A legendary S14 in SoFlo. Sporting some of the most amazing Work Equips ever to bless this wolrd.
6: THESE EQUIPS. (Can someone plz tag this dude, i don't have his IG)
7: Beautiful NSX, fully done up
8: The all time greatest s13 coupe in USA history. ROIDMONKEY. Already well in the 500whp range (sr20) on corm juse. Absolutely WILD in that era. DRFT front bumper, a mix of vented front fenders (DMAX?) and Koguchi Power in the rear, with Uras GT Sides and rear bumper. Incredible. Peep the HUD windshield!!!
9: Just monstrous to behold.
10: R32 gtr on something that look like CE28 but i don't think they are?
11: Very clean execution, Very bad concept. Single turbo 2J, this car had porsche aspirations in the rear fender area. The work was clean tho!
12: S15 wing, aftermarket gas door, 8 foot wide fenders
13: R32.4 was an insane thing to see IRL in 2009. I can only assume it was from Bee-r?

As the finale of the Los Feliz Film Festival, one of the greatest (IMO) Los Angeles movies was screened, just in time for its 35th anniversary! THE ROCKETEER is such a gem, and what a treat it was to view it at Barnsdall Art Center, home of Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece Hollyhock House, just down the hill from another LA treasure so prominently featured in the film, the Griffith Observatory. One more FLW home, Ennis House, is also used in the movie as the mansion home of Hollywood Star (and villain!!!) Neville Sinclair. I watch this movie at least 2-3 times a year but never had a chance to see it on the big screen so this, plus the Q&A afterwards with the films creators, and even an amazing goodie bag on the way out??? What a way to spend a Tuesday evening in LA!!!
