Visual identity for @cinesescsp “amor ao cinema” 2026. The idea is pretty simple, using the triangle as a synthetic representation of the A and the C while evoking beams of light from the cinema projection. Two accent colors (pink and blue) are used for the institutional assets. The general chromatic palette remains fully open to be adapted for each film of the festival, where the cards are presented in duotone compositions taken from the major colors of the film stills. The grid plays an important part as usual but here is exposed to the maximum.

This is our first time ever working for @sescsp which has been a goal ever since Sometimes Always was born. Big pleasure! Many thanks to the Sesc / Cinesesc teams for the invitation and pleasant collaboration.

Cover for the mixtape “Minha Vida é um Filme e Nele Eu Sou o Vilão” released by @lugar_alto compiled by @euamogg and mixed by @akiraumeda

“The mix tells a non-linear, multi-dimensional story of Brazilian sound system culture, using DJ drops, stage calls, adverts, cheeky samples and explosive intros made between the 1980s and 2025 (...) Ridiculously sick compendium of Brazilian Funk idents, DJ drops, stamps & effects (...) fully synapse-popping madness, mapping the constant evolution of the most vibrant and forward-facing soundsystem cultures of our time.” as said by @boomkatonline

Working with friends that you love and admire is usually one of the peaks of a professional career. “Em Campo” the new exhibition by our dear @hickduarte has been the case on so many levels. The team is made by lifetime close ones along with new collaborators that we’ve been following for a while. It is truly a dream team, the OG Seleção.

This is a direct result of Hick’s outstanding vision and ginga. Even being the only ones collaborating remotely, we felt completely immersed in the process and in an harmonic dialogue with the rest of the squad.

Em Campo documents football through its relationship with territory, approaching the sport as a space for collective experience and identity expression for Brazilian youth. The exhibition features 63 photographs, one film, and a continuous sound installation with work produced over six months across the Brazilian states of Pará, Acre, Bahia, Goiás, and São Paulo.

Creative direction: @hickduarte
Exhibition design and production: @c.l.u.b.e
Research and creative assistance: @anasano
Curatorial text: @thiago.paulasouza
Film editing: @33ontheblocks
Sound installation: @marcelogerab
Merchandise: @internetradiodismorfia
Exhibition photography: @marinalimarina

These are the last days to view the exhibition, so if you are around, make sure to check it out.
Until Saturday, from 12pm to 8pm, at @capelagaleria. Free admission. by @sometimes__always

“Candomblé : Sacred Rhythms in Brazil” published by our friends of @fleeproject is finally out. The project seeks to honour this tradition by documenting its historical foundations while offering a critical and artistic reflection on its contemporary transformations and future trajectories.

Together with @raio_studio Sometimes Always was in charge of designing the bilingual book that brings together a curated selection of archival documentation alongside newly commissioned texts and artistic contributions by the likes of @cicideoxala @thiagomartinsdemelo @joserbaptista @sonxseed A relevant part of the project floats around the photographical and ethnological work of Pierre Verger.

Through historical research, essays, and visual materials, the project honours Candomblé’s tradition by tracing its foundations while reflecting on its contemporary transformations and future trajectories.

If you happen to be in Marseille this week, we will be hosting an event for the launch of the project. This Friday, June 19th, 7pm at our studio Morcego (14 Rue de La Mûre). Come! by @sometimes__always

FUTURA is a visual system we designed for @melissaoficial 2025–2026 campaign platform.

Inspired by the idea of the future as open, collective and constantly evolving, the identity was conceived as a framework designed to transform over time rather than a fixed visual statement. The identity was developed to support several different campaigns throughout the year, from product launches to seasonal moments.

A recurring halftone treatment shifts roles throughout the system — becoming texture, pattern, image intervention and typographic expression depending on the context. The result is a flexible visual language capable of generating distinct expressions while maintaining a recognizable voice across physical and digital touchpoints.

One of our favorite things about this project was finding a way to bring some of our own visual vocabulary into a campaign of this scale. The graphic language borrows from print processes, DIY publishing and image degradation techniques that have been part of our work for years, reimagined here as a system capable of living across retail, outdoor, digital and social applications.

Graphic design and co-editing for @variastatu new book. 348 pages in 90 x 140 cm with full bleed drawings by the prolific artist only.

We know Varias for a couple of decades now and haven’t spent a single time by his side where he wasn’t drawing at some point. It is hard to find someone as passionate by their practice as this guy and it is beautiful to see how his style had evolved during these years. We are totally blessed to be part of this book.

“Social Souvenir - Drawings by variastatu” (aka the new new testament”) is out now online or physically in some of the launches to come.

A few months ago, our dear Tunisian friend @lamiaha invited us to redesign the visual identity of @foutaharissa a high-quality handmade textile brand founded in Brazil in 2018 by herself and her friend and partner @aliamahmoud

Currently handcrafted in Tunisia, part of the foutas will soon also be produced in Brazil, while keeping a tie to the Tunisian artisan sector.

Together with @beybladerunnner and with the lead of @solenn_rbc we redesigned the logo while preserving its distinctive Arabic lettering, contrasted with a narrower and bolder typeface. The color palette extends from Harissa Red — the brand’s emblematic color — to warm, earthy tones such as brown, yellow, and pink.

Fouta Harissa collaborated with our bff and photographer @hickduarte to shoot artisans, friends, and landscapes in Tunisia; these images also serve as key markers of the new identity.

Using a single typeface and these various elements, we produced the different assets for the launch: street and wheatpaste posters, postcards, the event invitation for the dinner organized in São Paulo, Instagram posts, stickers, and more.

A project for friends, by friends — long live Fouta! by @sometimes__always
