We’re engaged (in acts of kindness and empowerment)! When I look at this photo I think about how SAH started as an art collective/experimental social hub in Lansing, MI and @caitlinwoudstra was the first person to respond to the artist call on Facebook for “Girl Gaze”. Today she continues to be my lifeline and coach for clownery. I don’t know what is next for this account or brand, but it feels good knowing that 10 years later I am still able to nurture and build with my crew. Finding murals by @imagine876 in Detroit For me, is like Dora Finding treasure she did not foresee A new blue dot added to her map Can you say, un regalo? While directing traffic on a street corner I noticed a little devil mocking me while floating on a Faygo bottle 10 years after starting SAH and I am finally decontenting my event inventory. Fortunately, I socialize with other sentimental animals who like to store shiny things and I was able to rehome Riri and her sister (background). This is me basking in the sunlight freeing myself of the guilt of being a bad mom. I met @bashfull_bunnie at the @blueprint.313 music video shoot for Zoe Talley which inspired me to live more creatively 🌸🦋 🔥 Also everyone I met at that shoot was extremely kind and cute. IDK why social media be saying dancing at the club is dead because the freak gene seems to be prevalent in the 25 y/o + community. Just sayinnn I didn’t think I could touch this when I saw it. So I google searched the image and learned the following: Detroit-based musician STS delivers Be The Mountain, a serene, introspective ambient album born out of a period of intense physical and mental strain. Written as a quiet counterweight to personal chaos, the largely drumless record avoids traditional percussion, instead building a subtle rhythmic backbone through modulated pads, shifting synths, and slowly evolving textures. The result is a patient, deeply restorative study in endurance and presence that finds its momentum through pure tone, density, and gradual transformation. Example of bad art making a positive impact Literally this summer has been unmatchable because of @____er.en.____ 🌸 Can’t even think of the right words but by @sometimesarthouse

Tonight at 7:00 PM come to @capcityfilmfest to experience a British classic with a whole new vibe emitted from Composer and Hip Hop Educator Tim Blackmon with support from the Loud Pack. 🎟️No Entry Fee. All Ages, but recommend Ages 8+ for occasional alcoholism and animal abuse. ✅Tonight! Experience a special screening of what many consider Britian’s first animated feature “Animal Farm”. Originally released in 1954 and created by animation studio Halas and Bachelor, which during World War II was commissioned by British government to make nearly 100 war information films, otherwise known as propaganda. In fact the film was largely funded by the CIA to support early United States initiative’s for anti-communist propaganda. Audience members likely remember reading Orwell’s novel in school, and over the years the allegorical story about an animal revolt on a farm continues to shed light on the fallacies of politics today. Viewer discretion is advised for scenes of alcoholism and animal cruelty. taken in Lansing Central United Methodist Church by @sometimesarthouse

It's truly incredible the power that community can bring. Magical, even. If you ever want to book an illusionist may I recommend Walter King Jr. aka The Spellbinder from Chicago. TW: Police Brutality, Rant The video of #ELPD using excessive force on a civilian (08/24/25?) is still out there, however a popular (pro-Dump) "crime" IG account removed it without explanation. SAH is in the business of love&light so we will not post the video here. Watching the video reminded me of #MSU student Uwimana GasitoI who claimed he was profiled and assaulted by local authorities in 2020. It also buzzed my memory of a story I heard from an ELHS graduate about watching a classmate being suppressed in the school hallway. It makes you think about what contributed to the aclu of michigan to start asking questions in 2013 about the police department's failure to comply with industry standard use of tasers. #policebrutality #msuclassof2029 #msuclassof2030 #bantasers #defundthepolice taken in East Lansing, Michigan by @sometimesarthouse

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929 and assassinated April 4, 1968. These are clips from the 20:00 minute speech called, "What is Your Life's Blueprint?"(1967) which he delivered in Philadelphia, PA at Barratt Junior High School. Dr. Kings suggestions for the roadmap of your life's blueprint: 1. PRINCIPLE OF SOMEBODINESS - Believe that you are somebody and that you count. Respect is not negotiated. 2. DETERMINATION TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE - The cost/pain/suffering of your will to be educated will not outlive your legacy. 3. COMMITMENT TO THE ETERNAL PRINCIPLES - If it ain't about justice, think again. #mlkquotes #blackexcellence #blackpride by @sometimesarthouse
