The most magical moments happen when you let wildlife approach you 🤍

The scuba divers descended, and the freedivers found their own spot, leaving just me snorkeling on top of the dive site, with the reef close by. Suddenly, a single nurse shark appeared out of the blue, with loads and loads of cute little yellow fish around its head.

I was captured in the moment I made eye contact, just hanging there as it approached and checked me out veeery closely. I simply floated in the water and let it surround me when I realized the shark was being followed by two more… then three more… then six more. All 7 of them swimming around, nibbling at each other, doing their own thing in their natural habitat.

It was such an INSANE moment—passing by, turning, and dancing with each other. I just followed and observed them until they went off into the blue again.

This will forever be such a beautiful memory. 🤍🦈

Magnificent Dance of the Predator 🪸

Anemones exist throughout icy waters as well as the tropics, both in shallow areas and at great depths. Luckily for me, this beautiful anemone decided to stay close to the surface. And while everyone around me was diving, I got some 1:1 snorkel time with this beauty, its friends, and its colony of clownfish—telling myself in the end that I was practically one of them. 👯‍♀️

From taking these shots to editing and setting up an order in IG, my favorites kept changing all the time. In the end, I really came to enjoy the first one the most. I’m curious, tell me your favorite in the comments! 🙏

La Palma Camera Roll – Part 1🌋

Can’t believe we already reached halfway through our last house sit. Just a bunch of iPhone snippets and unpolished moments. 🐾🌤️

Feeling spoiled with so many incredible and diverse dog walks around Fuencaliente. La Palma is next level when it comes to hiking trails and scenic views. How lucky am I to be able to choose from three different walks every day, each with multiple variations—and no car needed!! Still need to actually leave Fuencaliente and see waaay more of La Palma, before leaving, but life has us hustlin‘. 🥲

Cats seem so sweet and innocent… until they hunt down baby rabbits (!!!) and bring them inside. Probably still gonna miss them when we leave.

Tried to come up with a concept for my first La Palma carousel and failed miserably, haha. This volcanic island is simply too diverse and colorful to separate into categories.

So here you go, I hope you enjoy my first set of shots. >>

Dog walks above 700 meters above sea level make the perfect setting for foggy forest shots.

Exploring extensions sections of the Ruta de los Volcanes. Newest obsession: the volcanic black and yellow color combo. What a great contrast!?

Moonrise views right from our doorstep, above the clouds, with La Gomera framed in the distance.

Endless pine forests…

Including local birdlife that takes shelter and thrives in there. (I think it’s time for the 600mm? We can all agree on that, right? RIGHT?)

Views from one volcano to another. From San Antonio, you’ve got an amazing view of Teneguía, which is part of the Ruta de los Volcanes (still on my hiking list!).

Misty sunset vibes right outside our doorstep. Gives me hoa hoa vibes.

Okay Fine. I fell first and I feel hard🐾

I can easily admit that these 4 weeks has been special.🥹✨I’ve done a couple of houssits now, but this was by far the most beautiful EVER.

All the animals were next level sweet, the owners lovely and the surrounding scenery? DREAMY. Yes, my allergy peaked in week 3 and drove me close to the edge of madness, but I’m so happy I experienced this and can put these in my memory pocket.

3 houssits down, one more to go. Can’t wait for that one to happen either. Spoiler: we are going to take another flight for this. 😏

After spending 2 months in Spain, I can confirm the following:

Tortillas are still yummy, but have y’all tried tapas? 🤤

Ocean girly forever, but Campo life has its perks. Like daily walks with the dogs surrounded by mountains and olive and almond trees (although the allergic side of me is not entirely convinced of this statement… ugh 🤧).

Animals cared for so far: 7. Still not enough. 🐾

Working remote makes it harder to sit down on all those edits in the pipeline. Well… the time will come… eventually. 😜

LaVall quickly and effortlessly became my number one hiking spot in Spain. At least after just three hikes and six weeks in Spain so far, haha🌳

It’s part of the Park Natural dels Ports in Catalonia and the drive into the national park itself was already absolutely gorgeous (obviously ignoring my anxiety when it came to our small rental car) but undeniably beautiful to look at ⛰️🤍

Hope I can come back and complete all the hikes by doing the third out of three (may my body be blessed with a new set of knees for that one… and additional stamina while we’re at it). Honestly, I can’t wait to do more hikes in Spain🇪🇸

Spent a sunset in Spain, watching flamingos fly across the sky.

The Delta del Ebre quickly became one of my favorite sunset spots. To the left, the ocean; to the right, a lagoon so vast it could be an ocean itself. Behind it all, towering, impressive ranges of the Iberian Mountains absorbing the sun while its last rays bath the delta in gold.

Spain you’re beautiful 🌞🦩⛰️🌅

P.S. What’s your favorite shot? I’m obsessed with the golden 🍑 of the flamingos in the second shot. Golden hour at its finest 🤭
