“Some weeks change you a little. This one changed us a lot.”🌊
We just wrapped up our very first BTM Academy trip and what a week it was! Film night under the stars, student screenings, Island BBQs with bunnies running around (yep, you read it right), amazing dives, more birthdays (@mariyeah__ @andibar.creates 🎂) and a team that never stopped surprising us.
Alex took the stage for a presentation and a lineup of his films that we couldn’t get enough of.
We wrapped with a super cool group shoot, sunset cocktails, and goodbyes no one wanted to say.
Our first BTM Academy trip couldn’t have been more successful, thanks to @scubaspamaldives for hosting us so generously and rolling with all our wild requests, and to @diveassure , @fishpeople.crew , @trudive_official , and @seaskinwetsuit for their amazing support.

Huge appreciation to our freedivers lead by the queen @juliegautier.watertales , filmmaker students, mentors, and the entire assisting & BTS team, you made this week what it was💙

Now we’re off to the next destination for a whole new project… any guesses?👀

Thank you all for an amazing week: @cinematograaf @dan_d_man25 @mindenterprises @see.the.under @bloodyorangephotography @tonymeyerstudio @frankythe1 @ash.embi @ajufaanu @coach.wolf @andremusgrove @mpaziak @anne.mermillod @wherenouris

Halfway through the very first Academy trip on @scubaspamaldives and the energy is unreal!
Students are progressing fast, the mentors are finding their rhythm in guiding others, and somehow everyone is teaching and learning at the same time.

We’ve had two powerful presentations so far:
Vanessa shared her long journey, and when we asked who had learned from her YouTube tutorials, a big wave of hands went up, and seeing that moment land was special.
Then Wojteck took the floor with an inspiring, honest talk about his path, followed by a Q&A where everyone jumped in with questions.
Underwater has been just as strong with beautiful interactions, and scenes you can’t script. The freedivers, led by Julie, are moving beautifully and leveling up every day, we can’t wait to show you!
Every night we gather to watch the day’s footage, and every night we’re blown away again and again.
And somewhere in the middle of all this, we celebrated Flo’s birthday with a heartwarming video from everyone and Tony’s iconic dance🧜‍♀️+ water jump.
Big thanks to @diveassure , @trudive_official ,@seaskinwetsuit and @fishpeople.crew for backing the stewardship program.

If this is only halfway… the rest is going to be wild!✨

Swipe to the end to see all the students’ progress and the mentors’ footage too!
