This month we will be hosting a special class for all dancers with the gorgeous Angelita Itzanami✨
No matter what style you dance or what level you’re at, you will learn how to strengthen and train your body in a safe way in this wellness class.

About Angelita 🌸

Angelita (Mimi) Itzanami Reyes is a Mexican dancer born and raised in Woodstock, GA. A former competitive dancer, she earned her B.A. in Dance with a Ballet concentration from Kennesaw State University. She is the founder and director of SOMOS, a professional contemporary dance company and youth program providing dance education and opportunities to Latin/Hispanic youth. Angelita has extensive training and teaching experience across commercial and concert styles, she has presented work in Atlanta, New York City, Madrid, and Paris. Angelita is currently pursuing her Pilates certification to further expand her impact as a movement educator.

Introducing SOMOS Season 3 Understudy + Rehearsal Assistant — ANNA JACKSON —

Anna Jackson is a dancer, actor, singer, story teller, and just generally happy to be here. She is (mostly) Atlanta based, and has spent the past few years performing and sailing around the world as a Disney Cruise Line cast member. Prior to her professional career, Anna received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Modern at Kennesaw State University. Her vast experiences thus far traveling and working with artist from a broad spectrum of different cultures continues to shape her open heart, and open mind. She is elated and grateful to be involved in the SOMOS Season 3 creative process.

— RYANN LEAK —

Ryann Leak is an Atlanta based dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor. In addition to being a company member with SOMOS, she also pursues freelance performance and creation opportunities in and around Atlanta. She earned her BA in Dance & Minor in Nutritional Science from Kennesaw State University, where she was fortunate to work with artists such as Annalee Traylor, Jamal White, Juel D. Lane, Martha Nichols, Caitlin Gray, and Nicola Wills, as well as with companies BODYTRAFFIC & Terminus. Ryann is excited to be a part of SOMOS for a second season!

SOMOS Season 3 Company Dancer
— OLIVIA KRAUS —

Olivia Kraus is a dancer and dance teacher based in the Atlanta area. She graduated summa cum laude from Kennesaw State University in May 2023, earning a Bachelors of Arts in Dance with a concentration in modern. She was part of the KSU Dance Company for six semesters and had the privilege of working with choreographers Andrea Knowlton, Autumn Eckman, Sean Nguyen-Hilton, and more. Since graduating, Olivia has been teaching, choreographing, and performing in the Atlanta area, including being an inaugural company dancer with SOMOS. She is excited to be part of her third consecutive season with SOMOS.
