Iris Brooke is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and handpoke tattoo artist based in Carmel Valley, California.

Her work explores the liminal spaces of identity, grief, transformation, and our enduring relationship with the natural world. Drawing from the landscapes of California and a lifelong fascination with symbolism, mythology, and animal wisdom, she creates work that blurs the boundaries between human and more-than-human, inviting viewers to reflect on what it means to survive, shed, and become.

Whether through painting, writing, or tattoo, Iris approaches each piece as an act of witness. An offering born from the belief that art can help us navigate loss, remember ourselves, and find meaning in the stories we carry.

She is the artist behind Wild Iris Tattoo, where she creates intentional handpoke tattoos inspired by nature, symbolism, and personal transformation.

What’s up big dogs! Exciting announcement!!!!
Hi✨ I’m Felicia Gonzalez Acosta—a Carmel-based artist operating out of Dog Song Studios. my practice flows between:
🖤Fine line and bold handpoke tattoo
💫Painting & sculpture
📸 Film photography
▪️Textile art & graphic design
Everything I make is an exploration of nature, texture, rich color, and the feminine form. My day to day I spend in hospitality, curating/ crafting cocktails and libations for you all. Hospitality and my mentors have taught me so much about precision, focus, and curating an experience.
Whether you’re here to collect art, book a custom tattoo, or just watch the process, I’m so glad you’re here🖤

Finished this handpoked back piece today, thoughtfully designed to cover an existing tattoo.

Three sessions of building layers of ornament and detail, creating something entirely new.

Always so satisfying to see a larger piece come together ♡

Exploring the movement of energy from the chest portal ❖

I continue to feel that this is one of the most powerful places for the masculine body to receive tattoo. Opening the heart center and allowing that energy to move through the body.

Available for handpoke tattoo.

A lot of my larger work starts like this.

Freehanding directly on the body, looking at what we’ve already built, where the body naturally wants the work to travel, and how the next piece can become part of something larger rather than existing on its own.

This is a long-term body suit project with one of my regular clients, and we’re continuing to build it slowly over time.

I’ve been wanting to do more work this way lately. Larger ornamental pieces, connected work across the torso, chest, hips, shoulders and limbs, and projects that have room to keep growing.

If you’ve been thinking about starting something larger with me, I’m currently booking ❤️
