One mark at a time ♡

There’s something I really love about the pace of handpoke tattooing. Working slowly, following the contours of the body, and watching a design come together one tiny mark at a time.

No machine. Just my hands, a needle, and a whole lot of intention ♡

I’ve been really enjoying working on larger tattoo projects lately, especially building compositions that grow with the body over time.

So I’m introducing full-day tattoo sessions. ♡

These are an opportunity to spend a little more time together in the studio, whether we’re beginning a larger piece, adding to an existing project, or working on several designs in one appointment.

A full day gives us time to settle into the work, explore placement, and work with the natural shapes and contours of your body to create something that feels like it belongs there. Time to make adjustments, take breaks, have conversations, and enjoy the process.

My regular hourly rate is $200, but full-day sessions are offered at $1,050 for approximately six hours of dedicated studio time, a savings of $150.

Custom design fees are $200 for single-session projects and $450 for larger, multi-session projects.

Payment plans are available, and larger projects can be developed over multiple appointments. I want to make it easier to approach the work you’ve been dreaming about without needing to do everything at once.

As always, everything is handpoked, one mark at a time.

If you’ve been thinking about a larger project, I’d love to hear what you have in mind.

Booking inquiries are open through @wildiris.tattoo at Song Dog Studios in Carmel Valley ♡

A little about me via my camera roll

Hello to all the new faces around here!
My name’s Felicia Gonzalez Acosta—a Carmel based artist practicing hand poke tattoo. Im now a residential artist at Song Dog Studios! My practice flows between:
Fine and bold hand poked tattoo,
Painting & sculpture,
Film photography,
Textile art & graphic design,
Everything I make is an exploration of nature, texture, rich color, and the feminine form.

For TEN years I’ve worked in hospitality around the Monterey peninsula curating/ crafting cocktails and libations for you all. Working in Michelin dining, restaurants, and cafes has taught me so much about precision, focus, and curating an experience.
Whether you’re here to collect art, book a custom tattoo, or just watch the process, I’m so glad you’re here <3

In handpoke tattoo, you have to participate in every single mark.

You’re responsible for the rhythm, the pressure, the placement, and the movement of each individual puncture.

It creates a unique relationship between the artist, the tool, and the body.

A little look inside Song Dog Studios. ♡

This one is for Lila.

A new mother, navigating the beautiful and complicated transition into motherhood while carrying the grief of losing her own mother.

We created a snake for her sternum. A symbol of transformation, shedding, and becoming. A piece to honor the woman she has been, the mother she is becoming, and all that she carries with her.

From preparing the space and placing the stencil to slowly bringing her snake to life, one dot at a time.

Handpoked tattooing is a slow, intentional process. There’s room to breathe, to talk, to feel, and to simply be.

These are the moments I love most about what I do. Being invited to witness and mark the thresholds of another person’s life.

Thank you, Lila, for trusting me with this beautiful piece and this chapter of your story. ♡
