Hi!🤗🤗🤗 I hope that you are all very well and that you had a lovely start of the week! 🙏🥰

Today I just wanted to let you know that the Maki-e face brushes will restock on September 29th, on Beautylish, at 10 am PT.

I also wanted to share that I have recently published several short posts on my blog Sweetmakeuptemptations. 🖌️🖌️🖌️

The last post is about the Oval Hybrid, the Superstars Crease 2 and this upcoming restock of the Maki-e Face brushes, specially the Japanese Gardens brush.
I wanted to write a dedicated post about these three brushes together, because while they are completely different, they share a common challenge, with a distinct outcome.

If you enjoy reading about Fude manufacturing and behind the scenes stories, this one can be helpful to understand some of the reasons why some brushes take longer to restock, why certain releases remain Limited Editions, why some Limited Editions may later become permanent, or why a returning brush may sometimes differ from its previous version...

Hi!! 🥰🥰🥰
I am back with some updates today! I want to share them quickly here, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions about brushes I didn't cover, it may be because I can't confirm if or when they will return...

There are a few restocks planned, some are ongoing production, I wanted to inform you now so you know that you can patiently wait if you were interested in them🙂🎉

🔸From the Superstars series, there are some brushes ongoing at the moment: Builder 2, Crease 1, Smudger 1, Compact Crease, Soft Worker, Detail 2. Detail 2 will be the first to arrive. For the others in this list, I don't know yet when they will ship, but I know production will take several months.

🔸The Synthetics Builder: Production is ongoing too. Hopefully we will see it return before the end of the year... Thank you so much for your amazing feedback on this brush!

🔸The Maki-e Face Brushes are expected to be available on Beautylish starting September 29th, 2026.
At the moment, pre-orders are underway for those who registered and confirmed their interest in these brushes earlier this year.
Important:
Please note that the Sunset Cranes brush comes back in a different size.
Please also kindly note that the Japanese Gardens and the Summer Koi come back with the same specifications, however, as with all natural bristles -specially mixes-, variations can occur from one production batch to another, even with our extremely fast re-order process, so we all sincerely hope that you will love these brushes!

The artisans and everyone else behind the scenes are very grateful and were so happy to work on this restock, they have done their very best to maintain the same exceptional quality and to make each brush extremely special for this release 🙏

Hello!! 🤗🥰🖌️ I hope you are all doing very well and having a beautiful week 🙏

These photos were taken on the 23rd of September 2023 at the Fude Matsuri in Kumano. I love the atmosphere, the dances, the food, the fact that you can purchase so many Fude and accessories and specially, the people you meet! This year I was not able to attend unfortunately, but I will do my best to be there in 2027.

When we have children and they go to school, it's not easy to plan long trips specially when they have to be done on a particular month, but this is a trip that we really want to do again.
The 23rd of September is also a special day for me because it's the day my husband proposed, and we also got married on a 23rd of September, 10 years ago today - we have been together 25 years, it's just crazy how time flies! Just more reasons for us to celebrate this day 🥳

So, if you are planning the trip to Kumano next year, please reach out if you would like to meet! I can show you around and don't forget there are discounts during the Festival so if you have plans to purchase something, that's good timing providing it's something you can find there. There are also workshops you can do, calligraphy events, and more. It's a full program, so make sure that if you go, you have time to browse the booths! 😅😂 It's pretty busy and that can take time!

My Kumano friends and the artisans told me it was a great Festival this year, with many visitors! They are very grateful that so many celebrated with them! I know that some of you went to the festival so thank you so much on their behalf! 🙇🙇🙇
I am looking forward to next year's 93 edition in 2027 so please stay healthy and let's meet there next year! 🎉🎉🎉

Today I have some exciting news to share with you about the upcoming restock of the Maki-e Face brushes!
I've just published a dedicated blog post with all the details and photos, please take a look if you'd like the full story. Here's a very brief summary:

🔸The Japanese Gardens and the Summer Koi brushes will return unchanged.

🔸The Sunset Cranes brush returning in September 2026 is not the same version that was released in February 2026. The new version is slightly smaller as we did not have the same bristle length available, so I highly recommend checking the comparison photos and details on my blog.
After wash, the bristles open up and sideways, the new Sunset Cranes reaches nearly the same width as the original.
The main difference is that when in use, the new Sunset Cranes with the shorter bristles will not splay out as much and will not cover as much surface. In terms of functionality, some will find it more versatile because it allows more control with the placement in comparison to the bigger Sunset Cranes.

✨AVAILABILITY: The 3 Maki-e Face brushes will be available starting on September 29th, 2026 at 10 AM PT on Beautylish.

✨PRE-ORDERS: Priority for purchasing these brushes will go to those of you who already registered an interest and have previously subscribed to the "Maki-e Face set" newsletter - it is thanks to these registrations that we were able to secure the additional order, so our thanks go out to you! 🙏🙇🙇🙇
However, you will only be contacted for a pre-order if you have agreed that we share your email with Beautylish and this step requires an action from you: An email has been sent to the "Maki-e Face Set" newsletter subscribers asking you to confirm if we can send your information to Beautylish. So if you registered to receive the "Maki-e Face Set" newsletter, please check your inbox and please follow the link and confirm by Sunday 13th of September (this is when we will be sending the final pre-order list to Beautylish). Beautylish will then contact you before the official launch - they will start pre-orders on the 15th of September.

So, this Sunset Cranes Hizakake towel is made in Imabari, Japan, and its purpose is to protect our clothes while doing our make-up, or to place on the table, or the back of a chair, or to wipe our hands after skincare...

Hi! 🤗🤗🤗I hope you are all well and excited for the weekend! 🎉🎉🎉

I have a few updates today and I am so happy to share that the ALPINE eye brushes are going to be available as singles on Beautylish! If there is one particular brush you wanted, or if you'll like a backup of a favourite, starting today 4th of September at 9am PT it will be possible! Thank you so much!! 🙇🙇🙇

I have also received many messages asking about a possible restock for the ALPINE face brushes. Although nothing is yet confirmed, we are working hard to bring them back. I am hopeful we will be able to make it happen for those who missed out.
Thank you so so much for the amazing welcome to this series, it has been absolutely wonderful!! They are very special to me - and for many reasons, to everyone behind the scenes as well. A huge thank you from me and on behalf of everyone! We are all so grateful and happy that you love them!

We also received many requests about the recent Superstars and since they sold out so quickly, we are also exploring the possibility of bringing some back as well. We should know more soon and we will also know which ones will be back! 🖌️✨

Before the weekend starts, I just wanted to share the details about the upcoming Superstars release!
The dedicated post is now up on my blog, linked on my Insta links.

These brushes will be available starting on the 18th of August, and they will be available individually:

🖌️ The SMUDGER 1 (55USD) is making a comeback due to popular demand, we have received many requests to bring more Smudger Ones back in stock.
Circumstances aligned beautifully to reintroduce this much-loved brush as part of the Superstars series!

🖌️ The SOFT WORKER (54USD) is inspired by two brushes you may already know and love: the Worker Pro and the Traditions T5. This Soft Worker is indeed a softer version, and it's just between those two in terms of size.
It's a shape that looks familiar, but sometimes the most useful brushes are not the most unusual ones. Reliable, versatile shapes like this are the foundation of a collection, and the ones we often find ourselves reaching for the most.

🖌️ The COMPACT CREASE (58USD) is another return of a highly requested brush: the Crease brush that you saw in the Maki-e Collectors Special Edition eye set. This crease brush was on standby for a while, and we finally were able to bring it back in this series.

These 3 Superstars will be available (individually), starting on the 18th of August 2026 at 10 am PT on Beautylish.
For those of you who were waiting, if all goes smoothly, the Companion Double-Decker will also be back at the same time!

We sincerely appreciate your love and support, we hope you will love these new Superstars and we also hope to be able to bring some very special face brushes in this series in the near future!

We recently released the Synthetics Builder and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your precious feedback! Some of you also reached out to me directly, a huge thank you for taking the time to chat with me! 🥰🥰🥰 I love this so much!

It is always so special to see a brush find its place in your daily routine! I've actually used the Synthetics Builder for a long time during its development, with all kinds of shadows and techniques, so reading that you're enjoying it and reaching for it regularly is just wonderful, and I have to say, I was especially happy to hear how much you love the handle too! 🙇🙇🙇

Today is the launch of the Synthetics Builder, I read your amazing reactions to this new brush that is bundled only with synthetic bristles, and I thank you so so much for such a warm and lovely welcome!!!🙇🙇🙇

I felt it made sense to begin the Synthetics Series with a brush that could easily fit into any makeup routine, even for those who prefer to keep their brush collection minimal. 🖌️✨

This is a brush designed for everyday use: effortless, intuitive, and easy to reach for. I hope this design feels new and exciting to you, and I sincerely hope you will love how it performs!!

There is a short new post about this brush on my blog should you wish to read a little more about it.

So, this brush is bundled with 100% synthetic bristles, and the first reaction may be that synthetic bristles = creams and liquids – and we may not think about using it for powders.

Although this brush can be used with creams and liquids, I would like to emphasize that this shape and these bristles were primarily thought for the use of powders and hybrid, or gel-powder formulas.

These synthetic bristles were developed and treated to have the ability to handle powders. They can also handle creams, however, the shape of the brush is directional, so it is going to target a small area. If you are aiming to work on a large area, I think that it would be better to go for a fluffier and larger brush.

Hello from Switzerland!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for your kind messages on my previous Insta post! I am back home finally, and I will have a lot of updates coming soon!

In the meantime, after quite a few years thinking about how I could integrate fully synthetic brushes in our lineup, today I am ready to share all the details about the very first one:
The Synthetics Builder 🖌️

There is a lot of information on my blog sweetmakeuptemptations, the dedicated post is linked on my Instagram in the link section. If you are interested in this new brush, please kindly have a look as there is a lot of information about the design, the functionality, the technical specifications, and the cost.

We would love to keep this brush in the permanent collection, although it takes many months to produce. However -and this is something I will post about in my upcoming updates - "permanent" is a strong word nowadays, with all that is going in the world, we cannot predict the availability of the components, their cost and how they will be available to us as we are a small company with small production batches and very high-end components.

I hope that you love this Fude and we are so excited to finally be able to bring a brush that we love so much and with 100% synthetic bristles!

I have just another very quick update:

At the same time as the Celebrations set launches on June 16th on Beautylish, a selection of the currently sold-out Traditions brushes will also become available for pre-order!

We are experiencing a slight delay of about one week for the delivery of these brushes, and I just wanted to kindly mention that if you choose to order the Keyaki Kakishibu Celebrations set together with any backordered Traditions brushes, the order will ship once all items are available.
If you would prefer to receive the set a bit sooner, it may be best to place a separate order. Thank you so much for your understanding.🙏🙏🙏

And just as a small note, you can identify which brushes are backordered directly on the product page, where it will mention “this item will ship on or after…”.

I also wanted to mention that the Traditions T7 and T8 are being restocked with a small update on the shapes. All the details are now shared on my blog, sweetmakeuptemptations, in the latest post.
