Finally got around to finishing off another one of my favourite one-off props from Doctor Who! This time it's the Parthenogenesis Device or Adipose Detector from the Series 4 opener "Partners in Crime".

Made using mostly accurate found parts with some 3D-printed aspects for parts I am yet to locate, but once I do, I will be swapping out those parts.

I wanted to keep the replica as close as possible to the original prop, down to janky electrical tape wrapped around the electronics. I think it adds to the cobbled-together nature of the item in universe. I was very lucky to find an eBay listing for the accurate plug, which is what kickstarted this whole project, as they can be tricky to find! It's of course not perfect, but until I can source more of the accurate parts, I'm happy enough with it to show it off!

Big thanks to several people for their assistance in making this possible!
@sutton_who for providing detailed reference images of the prop for me to work from.
@multiverseprops for machining and hand-filing the brass threaded details on the lower arms.
And @kasimbhattiprops for laser-cutting several acrylic parts.

Also included in the second image are some other props used in the episode, including Ms. Foster's Sonic Pen and Pill Necklace, both by @rubbertoeprops, and a @littleshopprops Series 4 Grey Tool.

Kind of getting into the swing of making these random props, I'm also in the early stages of making a 2-Dis replica, which has been another prop on my list for a while, so keep an eye out!

Finally getting around to posting about this! I recently had the pleasure of displaying some of my props at the BFI for the DWAS' celebration of the Tenth Doctor's 20th Anniversary, where they were shown off alongside several screen-used costumes, including both David Tennant's Blue and Brown suits, the costume worn by Billie Piper in The Idiot's Lantern, and Elisabeth Sladen's costume worn in School Reunion!

For the event, I was tasked with creating the Wire's Portable Television, which was a prop I'd actually always wanted to make; I just needed the right push! And what better way than to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Tenth Doctor!

Along with the Wire Box, I also brought along my K9 replica to be displayed next to Sarah Jane's costume, where I got to show off the rarely seen internal detailing, as well as my Little Shop Props Grey Aztec and Psychic Paper as a bit of set dressing!

Of course, a big thank you to @sutton_who for getting me involved with the event, as well as providing the Wire Rushes, the video on slide 2, and the photo on slide 3!

And also a big thanks to @thetimelessnerd for helping me get K9 to the venue, as well as assisting throughout the day with various things!

Had the amazing pleasure of lending a hand to make a few props for the latest episode of The Whoniverse Show!

Big thanks to @sutton_who once again for bringing me in to help with some prop fun!

Both the Tracer and Lance were modelled by me, with most of the Lance's fabrication handled by James, while I handled the Tracer!

The Time Distortion Tracer is made using (nearly) all accurate parts, including a vintage walkie-talkie toy, EMA plastic greblies, RS Lens Caps, electronics, including a proper incandescent bulb, and a flashing relay circuit.
I also installed electronics and applied the aluminium tape to the Sonic Lance!

Very pleased with how they came out, considering they were a bit of a rush job, and I'm glad Nicola and Colin enjoyed them! by @sonicboltprops

The secret is finally out! 🔊🪛

Here is the Fugitive Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver, designed by myself and @sonicboltprops for @bbcdoctorwho Circuit Breaker!

It was brought to life through a combination of CNC machining and good old-fashioned hand turning from me, electronics by Daniel Howard, and resin and leather work by Karl Derrick.

In total we produced four hero props for the production, plus a fifth that was gifted to @msjomartin

Ever since seeing the box of four Eleventh Doctor Sonic Screwdrivers made for Series 5, I’d hoped I’d get to do the same one day, so this really was a pinch-me moment.

Eagle-eyed readers of Doctor Who Magazine may also have spotted the screwdriver hiding in plain sight as an accidental Easter egg among the concept sketches in the costume design interview article! 😏

And speaking of DWM, they’ll be revealing much more about the design very soon, so I’ll leave the rest of the story to them before I accidentally give too much away… by @sonicboltprops

A bit of an odd one this time! This is a Digital Betacam copy of 'Death of The Doctor Pt. 1' that was used by the BBC to air the actual episode on CBBC!

This popped up on eBay recently and was initially confused, as I had never seen anything like it before, but after reading the listing and doing a bit of digging I knew I just had to get it.
It's such a unique piece of history, to have the tape that contains the exact episode we watched on TV way back when!
All I need to do now is get a Betacam player so I can watch it!

To celebrate Tommy Knight's Birthday thought I'd show off this Ionic Fusion Bar Replica, which the team at @littleshopprops and I made for Utopia 2023, which Tommy was a guest at!

The replica was fabricated by @joshmartinprops, and new electronics were fitted recently by myself!

Photo on slide 4 courtesy of @blackarchivegallery.
And the photo on slide 3 is from the Fantom Utopia Event in 2023.

Wishing Tom Baker a very happy 92nd Birthday today! Still hard to believe K9 got to meet the man himself recently for his MBE award ceremony!

Featuring a @littleshopprops Weathered 4th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver, Screen-accurate yellow Yo-yo, and an amazing hand-knit scarf made by my cousin, which I was gifted as a Christmas present!

As some may have seen, this popped up for sale recently from @bannerman_road_archive, and I'm sure it wont come as a surprise to those who are familiar with me, I had to pick it up!

This is one of only a handful of known (Un)official Limited Edition Sarah Jane Adventures Soundtrack CDs made for the 2017 Attic Reunion Event!

This CD was auctioned by @bannerman_road_archive on eBay and was their personal copy. There are only around 4 known copies in the wild: one was auctioned at the Attic Convention, two were sold on the Attic webstore after the event, and the one I have now was purchased directly from a staff member of the event by Bannerman Road Archive. So I feel very proud to have this as part of the collection!
