By popular demand I’ve added one more sound bath date at Henderson Hub!✨

If you’ve never been to one of these before, it’s essentially 75 minutes of immersive sound designed to help the nervous system slow down.

I play traditional instruments alongside digital frequencies through a gawjus vintage 1970s hi-fi system.

It’s a really lovely room and the atmosphere at the last one was amazing so I’m happy to be back!

April 29
6:45pm
Henderson Hub, Abbots Langley

If you’re curious or feel like your nervous system could use a reset, come join. ☺️

Tickets are available through the link in my bio.

The last session sold out so I recommend booking early if you’d like to come. 🤍🤍 taken in Henderson Hall by @sonicsanctuary_

Sound affects the body because we are fundamentally bioelectrical and biomechanical systems.

Every cell maintains a measurable oscillation.
Every organ system communicates through electrical signaling.
Every brain state is defined by frequency patterns.

So when you immerse yourself in sustained harmonic tones you’re not just “relaxing.”
You’re interacting with measurable physiology:

• Vibrations create mechanical pressure changes in tissues, which can reduce muscle tension and downshift sympathetic activity.

• Low-frequency resonance can synchronise neural oscillations (entrainment), shifting the brain toward alpha and theta states associated with relaxation, creativity, and emotional processing.

• Slow rhythmic sound increases parasympathetic activation, improving vagal tone and reducing amygdala reactivity—the center of the stress response.

• Sound alters breathing and heart rate variability, two of the strongest indicators of nervous system regulation.

Ancient traditions developed these practices intuitively.
Modern neuroscience now explains why they work.

To enhance the effects while you’re listening, you can try:

1. Low diaphragmatic breathing
Slow breathing increases baroreceptor activity and further activates the vagus nerve, amplifying sound’s regulatory effects.

2. Attentional anchoring
Direct your focus to where the vibration is felt in the body. This increases interoceptive awareness and accelerates the shift into alpha/theta states.

3. Gentle intention-setting
Holding a simple internal cue (“soften,” “regulate,” “open”) engages the prefrontal cortex, which helps shape emotional processing during entrainment.

4. Relaxing the jaw and shoulders
Reducing tension in these high-sympathetic-load areas sends immediate feedback to the brainstem to soften the stress response.

Your nervous system is exquisitely responsive to frequency.
Sound is simply the tool that speaks its native language.
