HEALING GARDEN II
#SONJIArt

Take me outside, sit in the green garden
Nobody out there, but it’s okay now
Bathe in the sunlight, don't mind if rain falls
Take me outside, sit in the green garden. Laura Mvula

WOMEN WHO EMPOWER
Past, Present, Becoming

An exhibition celebrating women, culture, identity, and the stories carried through art.

Inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos, we honor those who came before us, recognize the strength of the present, and make space for what is still becoming.

This collective brings together returning artists and new voices, continuing a platform made possible through the vision of Gina Zapanta, @ginazapanta_ and @empoweredwithgina, alongside @zalawyers. We are proud to create space for local artists and creatives to connect with community.

Featured artists and cultural contributors include @nayeandmore bringing Aztec dance and living tradition; @colettemillerwings, whose Angel Wings have become a global symbol of inspiration and identity; and @coriemattie, LA Hope Dealer, whose Los Angeles street art uses hope, activism, and social commentary to create meaningful conversation in public spaces.

HI.. ITS NOT MY BDAY TODAY..BUT THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE 🩷..MY BDAY IS IN FEB..IT JUST TOOK ME THIS LONG TO STOP AND REFLECT ON WHAT IT MEANS TO BE 50+...

..Its been hard getting used to the new transitions that come from being 51, but beyond that Im actually feeling very happy. I have a great daughter with awesome grandkids, I have good solid friends and am part of a nice community full of beautiful people, I have a great husband that treats me with love and respect. I do what I want. this reality is def not easy, it could be better for all of us but Im very grateful for this life. thank you to everyone out there thats still here standing by me. lets get older together. lets keep growing together. no filters. Just me. dirt and paint under my fingernails. 🥰 taken in Los Angeles, California by @sonjiart
