POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A full day of inspiration and gratitude. Preparing for Día de los Muertos at the Mexican Consulate @cccmla_ , coordinating upcoming exhibits with @RizoGallery for Alfred de Batuc - tomorrow’s Art Walk at @lulusbarbershop and an exhibition @sgvlgbtq - also an incredible evening celebrating women who empower at @ginazapanta_ @zalawyers office tonight.
I have to pause and appreciate the life I’m creating. May I continue to grow, create, open doors for artists, and give thanks for everything I once manifested.

Something new is happening in Pasadena. We’re creating a small community art walk in the private parking lot of @lulusbarbershop and her husband’s taco business @birriamaster a true mom-and-pop space that has been making room for local artists for the past year. Lulu has opened her walls to original artwork, and now we’re taking that collaboration outside with local artists, music, food and community. @starbr33d will be joining us with their nostalgic dream-pop, post-punk and cinematic shoegaze sound. This isn’t Jackalope. It’s something built through local relationships, small businesses and a shared love for our community. Putting your work out there can be nerve-racking, but being seen matters. Come meet the artists, listen to the music, grab some tacos and show up for the people creating something right here in Pasadena. 180 S Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107 - Rosemead/ near 210 - MEET THE ARTISTS:

Join us for a special Día de Muertos edition of DTLA Street Art Mart aka “The Spot” 🕯️💀🎨

We’re coming together in the historic Downtown L.A. railroad district to honor, create, remember, and support local artists through graffiti, street art, cultura, community, and remembrance.

This gathering will feature live Día de Muertos themed graffiti + art, hands-on art activities with Shandu One, a graffiti art tour, and local independent artists and vendors from Brigade Artisan Marketplace (BAM).

🎶🎤Music by @acthepd

🕯️ We will also be creating a community altar dedicated to our L.A. graffiti familia, those who painted, created, inspired, and left their mark on our city. Bring a photo, candle, flowers, artwork, or small ofrenda to help us remember them.

WOMEN WHO EMPOWER
Past, Present, Becoming

An exhibition celebrating women, culture, identity, and the stories carried through art.

Inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos, we honor those who came before us, recognize the strength of the present, and make space for what is still becoming.

This collective brings together returning artists and new voices, continuing a platform made possible through the vision of Gina Zapanta, @ginazapanta_ and @empoweredwithgina, alongside @zalawyers. We are proud to create space for local artists and creatives to connect with community.

Featured artists and cultural contributors include @nayeandmore bringing Aztec dance and living tradition; @colettemillerwings, whose Angel Wings have become a global symbol of inspiration and identity; and @coriemattie, LA Hope Dealer, whose Los Angeles street art uses hope, activism, and social commentary to create meaningful conversation in public spaces.

For @eastlaparadefestival thehoneydrop gallery brings a local mobile art collective into the VIP area creating space for seven LA artists to represent the culture, stories, and spirit of the communities we call home.
We are local artists, LA natives, and cultural storytellers; moving beyond the walls of a traditional gallery and bringing art directly into the community.
