#Our short film for the Film Scores for Films That Don’t Exist challenge is officially happening.

The script is finished, we’ve got our location locked in, and we’ve got an awesome team coming together. We’re just looking to fill a few remaining crew positions:

Sound

* Production Sound Mixer / Boom Operator

Camera & Lighting

* Gaffer
* Key Grip
* Grips
* DIT

Production

* Production Assistants
* Props Manager
* BTS Photographer

If you’re in Richmond (or nearby) and want to help make something weird, chaotic, and a whole lot of fun, we’d love to have you on board.

Shoot me a DM if you’re interested, or tag someone you think would be a great fit.

Let’s make something ridiculous.

It’s been a wild week full of conversations over DM’s, emails, phone calls, hundreds of signatures and feedback, and because of our effort, we’ve been able to #keepthe48human

I can’t thank everyone enough for providing your feedback, support, and sharing this message. From filmmakers to audiences, you really made a difference.

Thank you to Mark Ruppert and the rest of the team @48hourfilmproject for speaking with me one on one this week to hear mine and hundreds of others feedback, as well as us chatting through the week on updating these rules.

In a world surrounded by generative AI, it’s truly a relief to have a competition in the arts where it’s not permitted in any department, and we can continue to make and share films that are not made by a machine, but by us instead.

Thank you, now let’s go party and make some films! taken in Richmond, Virginia by @sonofafritz
