How do you sum up 26 years in one post?

It’s impossible. So I’ll say it like this.

Just as seasons change, so has my life.

For months, I mourned the loss of a relationship I believed would last “until death do us part.” I felt embarrassed, not good enough, like I had failed at the one thing that was supposed to be forever.

But life is unpredictable. And sometimes… what we THINK we failed at was never meant to be the finish line.

Seasons come and seasons go. I’ve endured the winter, and that season of mourning has begun to fade.

A new kind of morning is dawning. The sun is rising again, and I can feel the warmth of its light kissing my skin.

This season brings hope, growth, and a renewed sense of who I am. An old man has died, and a new man has been born.

To the one I vowed to love forever—I will always honor that. I’ll always want the best for you.

Even if you didn’t make it to the end of my story, I’ll always have the corner turned down on your page… one of my favorites.

Here’s to your happiness, your success, and your new life.

I’ll always be somewhere cheering you on by @sonofapickett
